Position Summary

 

For more than 30 years, our Management Development Associate program has developed our future leaders. This program allows you to embark on a personal and professional development experience a classroom can’t offer.

Joining Nestlé Purina as an Associate Safety Manager in the Management Development Program means you're joining our factory family at a management level and you will be a critical leader in establishing and maintaining the safety-first culture Nestle Purina has long recognized. This role will provide all employees with the tools, programs, policies, and measures to meet the plant’s safety goals. You’ll be responsible for relationship building with workers in every part of the factory be immersed in a highly technical and high-quality production environment to play a key role in achieving our standards of continuous excellence. Following from there, you’ll experience a unique breadth of work within your functional area and focus on becoming a domain expert at the factory you’re assigned to.

Why a leadership developmental role with us versus somewhere else? Taking the safety path of our Management Development Associate program is a full-time position that puts you on the fast track to management on the manufacturing side of our business. You are the future leader.

 


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in development, implementation, and monitoring of safety program to proactively prevent and eliminate injuries.
  • Investigate work-related injuries, determining preventive measures and root cause analysis of accident; make recommendations for correction.
  • Research, develop, and conduct safety training for management, plant, and administrative group.
  • Maintain and grow working knowledge of OSHA.

 

Basic Qualifications (Minimum):

  • Must be open to relocation to one or more of our 23 production facilities across the U.S.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, or a related field
  • Experience (Years/Type): 2+ years of safety experience in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, military, or related environment
