As the Head of Medical Affairs, you ensure NHSc is a trusted partner for Healthcare Professionals and patients resulting ultimately in effective product uptake. In doing so, you will shape NHSc strategy on how to communicate the benefit, the role in nutrition and health outcome of NHSc assets and how to position the product within NHSc offering.

 

In this position, you will be accountable for providing Medical leadership by engaging with KOLs and nurture the relationship with them, providing medical information and claims substantiation, and overseeing the development and implementation of scientific exchange activities. You will also oversee the acquisition, generation, interpretation of structured and unstructured real-world evidence (RWE) data to support NHSc medical and business objectives, and obligations.

A day in the life of the Global Head of Medical Affairs

 

  • Oversee planning and execution of advisory interactions with medical and scientific experts as well as patient organizations, payers and health economics advisors to ensure NHSc is bringing healthcare value to its customers.
  • Serve as a reliable, trusted resource of accurate, current healthcare knowledge including competitive products, for internal and external stakeholders and customers. Demonstrate understanding of health systems and medical landscape and integrate this knowledge in the design and delivery of medical and market access strategies.
  • Drive scientific communication strategy across the portfolio, ensuring the highest scientific rigor, compliance with available evidence, and coordination across functional areas and markets. Shape the NHSc annual publication plan and track delivery.
  • Ensure oversight of the medical education activities and plan to ensure successful business impact.
  • Oversee the strategic development of medical content for congresses, symposia, and advisory boards and lead or participate in such activities in full compliance with NHSc policy. Shape the NHSc Congress Plan.
  • Proactively assess safety and regulatory aspects of NHSc products in collaboration with partners in these functional areas, including participation in safety and labeling working groups.
  • Assess and strengthen the need for additional evidence for marketed products by designing and delivering real-world evidence (RWE) studies in collaboration with markets and R&D functions.
What will make you successful

 

  • PhD, MD or superior degree in biology, pharmacy, medicine
  • 15+ years’ experience in the healthcare industry and understanding of its challenges
  • Strong knowledge of the Medical Community and relevant engagement strategies
  • Proven ability to successfully drive Congress and Scientific engagement worldwide across a wide portfolio
  • Understanding of the Medical Food and Health Consumer Care specific regulations, business, challenges and markets
  • Understanding of the principles of clinical development studies and their interface to health economics and market access
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of healthcare and therapeutics with experience in pharmaceutical industry and/or other types of healthcare settings
  • Fluent in English, any other language would be a plus
  • Ability and availability to travel internationally (around 30% of the time)
