Position Summary

 

Are you a talented Agile Delivery Manager/Scrum Master/Practioner ready to join our Nestlé’s IT Platform team in Barcelona, Spain?  Our Agile & DevOps Launchpad team needs your expertise to guide and promote the journey to Agile through the IT organization. As an agile coach, you are accountable for the implementation of new ways of working to assigned areas and facilitate and lead organizational change and transformation towards Agile & DevOps in a Product oriented organization. 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Consults, guides, and provides expert support to the transformation program towards Agile & DevOps in a Product oriented organization.
  • Coaches teams through the adoption and hands-on implementation of agile-lean values, principles, high level / best of class processes and frameworks (e.g. Kanban, Scrum, XP, etc.) as well as other modern and lightweight techniques and practices.
  • Has a robust understanding of the framework(s) and helping the team to perform it better and continuously improve. 
  • Builds and maintains teams (no more than 2/3 teams at the same time) , ensuring team members are motivated, collaborating and working well.
  • Identifies obstacles and helping the team to overcome them. Focus the team on what is most important to the delivery of products and services and ensuring the team(s) is/are fully functional and productive. 
  • Encourages and facilitates continuous improvement of the team(s). 
  • Coaches and mentors both team members and others to apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques.
  • Works closely with agile coaches, product managers, team members, and management to define, deploy, and optimize agile-based delivery mechanisms. 
  • Acts in a servant leadership style; role models situations and behaviors for their teams and removes barriers and impediments that are preventing the team from completing work.
  • Adopts a continuous approach to planning, forecasting, managing uncertainty, metrics and measurements, contingency planning and road mapping. An ADM is able to communicate the roadmap, planning assumptions and progress to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Implements, promotes and guides on flow metrics by supporting the team to use and interpret flow-related tools and reports as a means to improve the quality of their conversations as well as their decision-making mechanisms. 
  • Implements and promotes ways to understand, measure and improve the health of the team(s) and support its improvement over time.
  • Mentors team members and enable them to learn, grow and become better professionals.
  • Promotes agile-lean thinking, ensuring constant inspection and evolution of the processes
     

What will make you successful

 

  • Strong experience working as a Scrum Master or Product Manager with agile teams and as a leadership coach.
  • Experience working in a global environment and with virtual teams.
  • Strong knowledge of common Agile frameworks/principles/practices and methodologies (personal improvement).
  • Strong knowledge of product management principles. 
  • Experience supporting organizational transformation towards Lean Agile.  
  • Experience with OKRs or similar framework. 
  • Experience with SaFe or similar frameworks to scale agile. 
  • Experience in shipping and building a product and deep understanding of DevOps principles and tools.
  • A strong focus on business outcomes.
  • Comfort with collaboration and open communication. 
  • Reaching across functional borders. 
  • Find opportunities to collaborate within and outside of your team. 
  • Be open to listening to others’ ideas. 
  • Keep in mind that DevOps at Nestlé is about moving the Nestlé business forward and giving it a stronger technological advantage. 
  • Proven receiver-facing management skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills applied with different stakeholders, nationalities, and mediums (face-to-face and remote virtual teams).
  • Adaptable, flexible and dynamic while keeping a client centric approach.
