Position Summary

 

To strengthen our Nestle IT Crisis Management Team, we are looking for an IT Crisis Management Technology Expert to complete our Workforce 360 Department. In this role, you will proactively and reactively respond to any major incident to any IT solution but particularly business critical solutions to achieve and or exceed our solution availability targets and to minimize and manage any Business Impact.

A day in the life of Crisis Management

 

Working at the leading edge of IS/IT on the product or platform, the Technology Expert performs:

  • For any high priority incident, manage and coordinate to ensure efficient and effective collaboration of incident teams, technical and functional, internal and external, to return the service / solution to the Nestlé business, and minimize business impact.
  • Coordinate technical resources and restoration activities, with a sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Support accurate and consistent maintenance of technical and management escalation processes.
  • Chair critical incident conference calls and create business appropriate communications.

and:

 

  • Conduct post-incident analysis, leveraging the ITIL problem management process and relationships with technical teams to assure that reoccurrences are minimized.
  • Incident Resolution handoffs along with detailed notes and a summary of the business impact and duration to the Problem Management team.
  • Think strategically, solving problems using a variety of approaches with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ensure any deviation or opportunity for improvement is captured and / or escalated to the right forum.
  • Ensure any new / changed solutions have completed operational readiness, and familiarity.
  • Respectfully challenge and coach both senior leadership and technical leads to ensure that the right people and strategy is in place to maintain expedited progress during Major Incident resolution.

What will make you successful

 

  • Joining a collaborative team of Specialists, you will be a strong team player with a history of delivering results in a high pressure and complex environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of our core Business systems and the implications / impact to the business when Information Technology infrastructure is degraded or unavailable.
  • Extensive incident management experience within large and complex IT environments.
  • Good knowledge of SLA’s, ITIL, AGILE, DevOps, HP Service Manager / ServiceNow, IT Support Organizations and associated Vendors.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize amongst multiple ongoing issues while under pressure.

And

 

  • Willingness to work in a Follow-the-Sun roster and working at least 1 weekend in 3 and having to share the shifts across public-holidays.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
  • Working in a global team based in various time zones, flexibility is essential as you participate in teleconferences outside of standard business hours.
