Position Summary

 

To complete our IT Platforms SAP Landscape department, we are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager


In this position, you will bring expertise and passion to the SAP Landscape platform group. As a Senior SAP Project Manager, you will be leading global projects in one of the largest and most complex SAP implementations in the world. The type of projects range from maintenance driven projects like regular support pack deployments to innovation projects such as S/4HANA migrations or implementations.

You will be part of the SAP Architecture & Integration team and will work closely with our managed service providers and IT product streams to ensure projects are delivered on time, with quality, within the allocated budget and as per the agreed scope. Furthermore, you will play a vital role to continuously improve the methodology, templates, and reports to optimize future project deployments.
 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Management of projects following project management best practices (incl. planning, budget, quality, risk management & communication)
  • Communication with stakeholders on all levels in the IT organization
  • Overall responsibility for the project budget
  • Lead a virtual and international project team
  • Assure proper gate keeping through sign-off of various functional & performance test cycles
  • Make recommendations on how to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and delivery of services through use of (emerging) technology and technical methods and methodologies
     

What will make you successful

 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related study/equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in IT with a focus on managing complex SAP projects (e.g. support/enhancement packs, upgrades, migrations, implementations, …)
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations or implementations
  • General knowledge of SAP Basis and the different modules
  • General knowledge of hyperscalers, especially Microsoft Azure
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP / PRINCE2)
  • Strong result focus and the ability to influence without authority
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Experience in working in a complex and global environment with virtual teams
