  • IT Technical & Production – Digital Manufacturing Team reporting to Senior Product Manager, Digital Manufacturing
  • Full-time work on location with optional remote working 
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, systems analysis, or related studies and experience 
  • 5+ years experience in three or more Aveva products (Intouch, Historian, System Platform, etc.) and IT or Engineering solution disciplines along with a background in MES and automation, integration
Position Summary

Are you passionate about integration with automation devices, IIoT, PLC’s, etc. in a challenging business/manufacturing environment? This role will work with different product groups globally and provide expertise and guidance on the best ways to integrate digital manufacturing applications with IT and OT devices and the automation layer.  This role will be responsible to ensure consistency and reliability of integration between our products and the automation layer as well as ensuring best practices are defined and adhered to.  This role will focus on defining the communication and integration of all manufacturing devices with our application layer in the most efficient and robust way.

A day in the life of...

• Works with the Digital Manufacturing team and suppliers in defining the best ways of integration between our products (DMO, Aveva, etc.) and the OT layer (PLC, scales, checkweighers, printers, IIoT devices, etc.).
• Provides documented solutions regarding the integration
• Writes and maintains test scripts
• Performs integration testing
• Subject matter expert for the Aveva products (Intouch, System Platform, Historian, OI, etc.)
• Subject matter expert for OPC, automation layer, device integration, etc.
• Support of the interface layer between digital manufacturing applications and the automation layer
• Troubleshooting and analysis
• Reviews Development (Agile Methodology)
• Provides appropriate training to the Regions and System Integrators

What will make you successful
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in information systems, computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience 
  • 5+ years of experience in a combination of Manufacturing IT, Engineering, and/or Automation. 
  • Experience with implementing and integrating Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) with the automation layer
  • Experience having worked in a global environment and with virtual teams 
  • Excellent English communication skills applied with different stakeholders, nationalities, and mediums (face-to-face and remote) 
  • Proven ability to work in Agile project teams
