The role:
We are looking for a Customs TAX Analyst to be part of Nestlé’s Tax Center of Competence, a highly dynamic team passionate by the development of world class functions and business services, located in Barcelona, Spain.
The Customs Tax Analyst’s mission will be to ensure business processes are compliant in regards with customs, tariff classifications, free trade agreements, valuation, duty preferences, and related regulatory obligations.
What you’ll do:
- Analysis and support of global / Regional customs classification in close collaboration with Supply Chain personnel for the Nestlé’s markets.
- Advice functions regarding optimal usage of customs tariffs in order to ensure customs and tax compliance, and minimize customs duties costs.
- Assist Supply Chain function with trade preference determinations (eligibility), procedures, standards and non-preferential country of origin.
- Assist with special customs procedures to achieve reduced import duties.
- Advise on country-specific importer programs.
- Support functions on issues related to product movement in SAP system, including Supply Chain, Tax, and Import/Export teams.
- Support function to Customs & Duties audit query in collaboration with local Market.

Minimum qualifications:
- Academical background in Economics, Finance, Law or similar.
- 3+ years’ experience in customs roles including experience in customs tariff, customs compliance risk management and/or similar.
- Solid knowledge of foreign trade regulations and understanding of supply chain processes.
- SAP knowledge (GTS).
- Solid stakeholders management skills at different levels.
- Great communication and organization skills and being able to influence without authority.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
Bonus Points If You:
- Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus.
- Knowledge in LATAM regulations would be nice to have.
