The role:
As a Data Product Owner you will be working closely with IT and the R&D function, internal & external development teams and functions to specify, plan, design and develop, deploy and sustain high-performing Sensory and Consumer Preference data product at scale, in order to accelerate the go-to-market of our Nestlé products.
Sensory and Consumer Preference data product is fully embedded in the R&D Digital Transformation strategy and relies on and contributes to the R&D innovation unified cross-functional data asset.
As an IT Data Product Owner, your responsibility will be to ensure adequate build, sustain and evolve of the data models and flows within your scope, ensuring data governance.
What you’ll do:
As Product Owner, your responsibilities will be:
- Engage with Product Managers, Project Managers and Architects of IT R&D for understanding the data and analytics needs of Sensory and Consumer Preference teams within all Nestlé group.
- Partner with R&D function to understand, analyze, translate, and document business requirements, pain points or opportunities.
- Work with external partners, to design and build data and analytics products that deliver business value as efficiently as possible. You will deliver data models using a range of On-premise and Cloud toolsets, new generation analytics platforms such as Azure, Snowflake, and PowerBI.
- Create data and analytics products to support both standard reporting and more advanced analytics and machine learning use cases.
- Work with external and internal colleagues to ensure training materials for the product area are documented, as well as oversee the handover to deployment and sustain teams.
- Support the development and curation of data products in the data catalogue.
- Support Product Managers/ Product Group Managers through the full product lifecycle from new product imitation through to product retirement.

Minimum qualifications:
- Academical background: ideally Computer Science degree or Data related.
- +8 years’ of experience in building data assets and pipelines to serve analytics use cases.
- Previous developer background and technical understanding (data foundations and architecture standards) will be very valuable.
- Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps and Service Now Application portfolio management and be used to work with agile methodologies.
- Proven skills of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills at different levels within the organization and external partners in a global and online environment.
- Data-driven decision making, ensuring accuracy and reliability of the data used for taking decisions.
- Fluent in English both written and spoken.
