About the Role

To grow our Digital Strategy & Expansion Team in Barcelona, we are currently looking for a Global Digital Products Designer with a passion for finding solutions that allow customers to intuitively use our products. This position includes becoming a key contributor to our Design System, led from within our DesignOps squad.

 

As a Digital Products Designer specialized in DesignOps, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining a cohesive and scalable design language across our products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Engineers, and other Designers, to ensure consistency and efficiency in our Designs and alignment with our brand and business goals.

 

By partnering with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders, you will play a fundamental and crucial role for the improvement and optimization of our design processes, tools and workflows contributing to the design operations culture that our organization started creating.

You will also be responsible for creating intuitive and visually appealing user experiences that drive engagement and conversion on our web ecommerce platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Engineers and other Designers, to deliver high-quality designs that align with our brand and business goals.
 

What You'll Bring

  • Lead the design and implementation of our design systems, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of our design process.

  • Create and maintain a set of design libraries including design tokens, components, content guides, and design patterns.

  • Develop and maintain design documentation, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and alignment across design teams and digital products.

  • Optimize and standardize design processes, including file management, version control, and collaboration.

  • Become a Brand Champion. Embracing our Brand values, you’ll contribute with your systemic view in ensuring consistency and beauty in the creation of visually captivating designs that embody the essence of luxury.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to other Product Designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement in areas such as persona development, targeting strategies, and advanced data analysis.

  • Conduct Comprehensive User Research. Conduct thorough user research to grasp user needs, behaviours, and pain points. Utilize gathered insights to inform design decisions and identify opportunities for improvement in design operations.

  • Create Effective Design Solutions. Develop wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that vividly visualize, communicate design concepts and interactions to stakeholders, facilitating clear understanding and alignment. Ensure designs are optimized for usability and engagement.

  • Collaborate Across Teams. Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to understand user needs, business goals, and technical constraints, and translate them into effective design solutions. Work in tandem with them to understand pain points and identify opportunities for improvement in design operations.

  • Enhance Cross-Platform Experience. Craft cohesive, responsive design solutions that seamlessly span web-based and mobile applications, guaranteeing a consistent and user-friendly experience.

  • Facilitate Usability Testing. Organize and conduct qualitative user testing sessions to gather valuable feedback and insights. Utilize test data to refine designs and enhance the overall user experience. Employ A/B testing methodologies to evaluate design impact on user journeys, iterating based on data-driven insights.

  • Stay Informed and Innovate. Stay abreast of the latest design trends, tools, and technologies. Proactively recommend their integration into our design processes to foster innovation and maintain relevance.

 

Who You Are

  • Minimum 5 years of digital product design experience with an added focus on design systems and design operations, covering research, wireframing, prototyping, and testing.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing digital design expertise in designing and optimizing design processes and workflows.

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Proficiency in Storybook.

  • Familiar with project management and collaboration software platforms, like Jira and Confluence.

  • Understanding of user-centered design principles, responsive design, and mobile-first approaches.

  • Knowledge of web design standards, accessibility guidelines, and SEO best practices.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for presenting and discussing design decisions.

  • Experience in Agile environments and collaborating with diverse teams.

  • Strong grasp of UX and UI design principles.

  • Proven ability to problem-solve and make data-driven decisions.

  • Dynamic personality with a passion for continuous improvement.

  • Skill in collecting and interpreting feedback.

  • Ability to understand requirements and design complete user experiences.

  • Extensive experience in UX design best practices, testing methodologies, and accessibility.

  • Fluency in English (it’s our day-to-day language);

     

Bonus Points If You:  

  • Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.

    Previous experience with Chromatic and/or Percy is a big plus.

  • Familiarity with front-end development technologies is advantageous.

  • Previous experience in Food & Beverage and Luxury Brand sectors is a plus.
