We are looking for an Infrastructure as a Service Edge Computing Expert to be part of our Nestlé Nespresso Digital and Tech Team.

The Role
Under the supervision and guidance of his primary Community of Practice Lead and Platform Manager, the Edge Computing Expert brings deep expertise and knowledge on CDN platforms. You will guide and promotes optimal use of the CDN technology to support the cost effective delivery of business requirements within their area of expertise while maintaining it safe with the WAF configurations. Working at the leading edge of IT, the Edge Computing Expert performs preliminary studies, helping to set the technological direction with the product owner. You will support delivery and sustain of the most complex applications and business capabilities, and may be accountable for specific deliverables in relation to delivery and security.
In This Role, You Will:

Stay Informed: Keep up with the latest trends and advancements in edge computing and related technologies.

Optimize Infrastructure: Enhance edge computing infrastructure for improved performance, low-latency data processing, and efficient resource utilization.

Implement Security: Establish robust security measures to protect sensitive data at the edge and during transmission, addressing privacy concerns and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.

Documentation Creation: Develop detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and user guides, to support knowledge sharing and future development.

Collaborate on Solutions: Work with various teams to implement edge computing solutions that power Nespresso applications.

Design Architectures: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable edge computing architectures tailored to project requirements.

Maintain Infrastructure: Develop and maintain the necessary Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) and Configuration as Code (CaaC) for deploying Nespresso’s infrastructure.
What We’re Looking For:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, System Analysis, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Edge Computing Experience: Proven experience with edge computing technologies and architectures.
-
CDN Knowledge: Previous experience with Akamai CDN technologies.
-
Networking Protocols: Expertise in protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, and HTTPS, as well as edge-to-cloud communication.

Security Understanding: Strong knowledge of security principles and best practices in edge computing environments.
-
Continuous Delivery Tools: Experience with tools like GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.

Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
Extra Skills That Set You Apart:

Previous experience with any other edge computing technologies.

Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and lead technical initiatives.

Previous experience integrating CDN technologies with public cloud providers.

Terraform and Ansible knowledge.
