The role 

In this role, you will be the go-to expert, driving the governance of key Data Products within our Nestlé enterprise Data Lake. You'll lead and coordinate activities across various geographies, categories, and functions, ensuring seamless management throughout the entire lifecycle of our commercial Data Products. Your efforts will ensure that our data is treated as valuable enterprise assets, maintained to the highest standards, and leveraged effectively to support our business goals, all in line with Nestlé's standards.

 

What you’ll do 

As an Expert Data Steward – Commercial Data Domains (Sales & B2B), you will have the autonomy to lead the governance of these critical domains. You will:

  • Partner with corporate functional business owners, geographical zone data leaders, IT organization, and shared services to ensure our data is managed as a valuable enterprise asset, maintained meticulously, and utilized effectively to drive business success.
  • Define and orchestrate governance of commercial domain from Data Curation, Data Cataloging, Data Modeling, Data Quality and developing data literacy. You will enforce the design and usage of policies to maximize data re-usability and business value. 
  • Understand business requirements and work with IT and Corporate Functions to continuously improve reliability, compliance and cross-functional relevance of operational Data Products.
  • Lead implementation of data quality metrics, business rules, and reporting mechanisms validated by functional data owners. You will develop and maintain Data Governance dashboards to create necessary transparency and build trust in Data.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues in collaboration with data owners and IT/IBS teams.

Minimum qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Information Systems, Computer science, Business administration or related field, or possessing equivalent work experience.

  • Demonstrating proven experience in Data and Analytics specially designing, managing and governing  Data Domains, Products, Assets on analytics platform like Snowflake/Azure.

  • Experience and functional understanding of Sales, promotion management, B2B, Customer management processes and related data points. Also understanding of data acquired from our retailers or third parties like Nielsen.

  • Having strong and effective communication skills and ability to leverage them at distinct levels in the organization and in English. 

  • Being able to influence peers in IT and functional stakeholders in global and virtual environments with the aim to adjust behaviors and adopt data governance policies.

 

Bonus Points if you: 

  • Have a strong understanding of SAP CRM & SD Modules, as well as Customer & Product Data Structures.
  • Have experience of any Sales related technologies such as; Salesforce Automation, Distributor Management Systems, Trade Promotion Management/Optimization, Revenue Management, Sales Recommendation Engines, etc.
