The role 

In this role, you will be the expert, ensuring the effective governance of key Data Products in our enterprise Data Lake. You will manage cross-geographies, cross-categories, and cross-functional activities throughout the full lifecycle of the Data Product in the Finance and HR Domains, ensuring our data is maintained and utilized to support business goals, in line with Nestlé standards.

 

What you’ll do 

As an Expert Data Steward - Finance, HR, Enterprise Data Domains, you will have the autonomy to lead the governance of these critical domains. You will:

  • Partner with Corporate Functional Business owners, geographical zone Data Leaders, IT Organization, and shared services to ensure our data is managed as a valuable enterprise asset, maintained meticulously, and utilized effectively to drive business success.
  • Define and orchestrate governance of Finance and HR Data Domains from Data Curation, Data Cataloging, Data Modeling, Data Quality, developing data literacy, enforcing design and usage of policies to maximize re-usability of the data and therefore Business value.
  • Understand business requirements and work with IT and Corporate Functions to continuously improve reliability, compliance and cross-functional relevance of Finance and HR Data Products.
  • Drive implementation of Data quality metrics, Business rules and Reporting mechanisms validated by Functional Data owners. Develop and maintain Data Governance dashboards to create necessary transparency and build trust in Data.
  • Identify and resolve Data quality issues in collaboration with Data owners and IT/IBS teams.

Minimum qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Information Systems, Computer science, Business administration or related field, or possessing equivalent work experience.

  • Proven experience in Data and Analytics Engineering (Data modeling, ETL development, and Data Analysis) on Analytics platform like Snowflake / Azure.

  • Programming ability using languages/tools such as SQL Server or Python for Data manipulation and scripting

  • Experience and functional understanding of Finance Management Reporting and Accounting Data 

  • Having strong and effective communication skills and ability to leverage them at distinct levels in the organization and in English. 

  • Being able to influence peers in IT and functional stakeholders in global and virtual environments with the aim to adjust behaviors and adopt Data Governance policies.

 

Bonus Points if you: 

  • Have a strong understanding of SAP Finance Modules and particularly Profitability Analysis (CO-PA).
