We are currently looking for a Expert Data Steward - Product Content in order to complete our IT Master Data Governance department.

The role 

Under the guidance of the Data Governance Lead for Marketing and Sales Data, you will be responsible for the governance of the data model in the PIM solution. The data model includes all customer and consumer-facing digital content used to market and sell products both online and offline, as well as content used for various internal applications and analytics. It encompasses product master data, marketing content, and digital assets.

The role includes overseeing the processes to collect content from sources, consolidate it, and ensure that data records are ready to be used and shared externally. You will manage critical product content across geographies, categories, and functions.

A global system solution is currently being deployed across geographies and business categories, and strong governance of the data model is instrumental.

 

What you’ll do 

As the Senior Data Steward for Product Content you will:

  • Manage the Product Content Data model; review, define, and implement data standards, policies, best practices, life cycle, and roles & responsibilities related to master data management. Define business rules for automation where possible.
  • Define and monitor Product Content quality and orchestrate global improvement campaigns to ensure accuracy and consistency across the Nestlé Group.
  • Collaborate with corporate functional business owners, geographical zone data leaders, IT Solution Teams, and NBS shared services. Ensure our data is managed as enterprise assets, maintained, and utilized effectively to support business objectives.
  • Identify and maintain the list of use cases for Product Content and actively promote further use of the global solutions.
  • Contribute to or drive projects optimizing (not executing) the processes of sourcing, consolidating, and auditing Product Content for internal and external use. Build or contribute to training material, including Data Management aspects.
  • Define and support deployment of new services in Nestlé Business Shared Service centers supporting data quality and consistency.
  • Represent Nestlé in external workgroups managed by industry-wide organizations, e.g., GS1, CDQ (Corporate Data Quality).

Minimum qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven experience in a diverse role with increasing leadership responsibility in Marketing or Marketing Data Management/Governance (expertise area including eContent, eCommerce, Packaging design, Product Information Management systems etc.).

  • Strong and effective communication skills and ability to leverage them at different levels in the organization and in English. 

  • Ability to influence peers and subordinates in global and virtual environments with aim to adjust behaviors and adopt data governance policies.

  • Strong previous experience with data analysis tools to identify opportunities/issues in our data (advanced excel, Power BI etc.).

 

Bonus Points if you: 

  • Have a strong understanding of Data Governance practices (Cataloging, Quality, Definition, Curation, GS1 standards etc.). 
  • Understand various software used in the Data Domain (e.g. Product Information Management).
