A day in the life of...

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an area of computer science that focuses on the creation of machines and software that simulate human intelligence processes such as learning, reasoning, analysis, and self-correction.

Nestlé aims at becoming the leader in AI application within its industry (Food and Beverage and Consumer Packaged Goods), where companies are not yet taking over the AI space. For that reason, we’re structuring our efforts in this space around a common AI Strategy led by Nestlé’s Chief Information Officer.

Within this strategy, Nestlé’s IT Innovation team of New Generation Technologies is in charge of the AI Roadmap, which is the area where this internship will be framed.

During the internship, you will:

•    Gather AI use cases across the organization, classify and document them according to a Nestlé proprietary framework to make them ready for evaluation.
•    Mentored by an internationally recognized AI subject matter expert, document and classify gathered use cases for their prioritization by an expert panel.
•    Interview stakeholders in different businesses, functions and markets to validate the correctness and comprehensiveness of documented use cases.

What will make you successful

•    Business, economics, Human Resources or law background. All studies related to Management are valuable with interest in technology. Specially in Artificial Intelligence.
•    Passionate about what AI can bring. A plus if you’re also knowledgeable about any aspect of this space, e.g., Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing.
•    Articulate and with great writing skills, since you will be synthesizing information from many sources to create clear and concise use cases.
•    A good listener and note taker, since you will be conducting stakeholder interviews to gather details about use cases with potential to be incorporated in the AI Roadmap.
•    Self-driven and organized, because you will own the identification and documentation of AI use cases from A to Z and hit planned milestones in time.
•    Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

What can you expect from this experience??

During practice, you will become a member of a team of professionals working on real and targeted projects. You will have the opportunity to work and practice your knowledge and skills.

After the Internship, you will:

•    Understand the starting point of implementing AI at scale, as well as the key challenges ahead, as well as key scenarios prone to AI.
•    Understand the business drivers and ROI of AI for a FMCG company.
•    Gain insights on how a FMCG company works thanks to direct access to a variety of stakeholders in different businesses, functions and markets.
•    Have (more) experience with innovation knowledge base platforms and metrics reporting tools such as PowerBI.
•    Have experienced full ownership of a core deliverable for the AI strategy: use cases identification and classification.

Please remember to attach your updated CV when apply.
