We are looking for a Global Marketing Intelligence Lead to be part of our Nestlé Nespresso Consumer Engagement and Intelligence team.

The Role  

 

Nespresso is launching an ambitious measurement program aimed at dramatically increasing marketing investment effectiveness through the systematization of Marketing Mix Modelling, the establishment of robust and globally consistent attribution modelling and by driving continuous campaign and activity experimentation and optimization. 

 

As Global Marketing Intelligence Lead, you will have overall accountability for Marketing Intelligence programs (e.g. measurement model ownership, execution, reporting), coordination of effectiveness programs with markets as well as upskilling HQ marketing and finance teams on the actionability of insights generated. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the business responds to the insights derived from all Marketing Intelligence models to drive change in how Nespresso invests and executes marketing activities. 

 

You will collaborate with HQ Finance and Marketing functions, local Marketing and Analytics teams as well as central Analytics functions including engineers and data scientists to deliver high quality models and turn data into insights and business recommendations. You will also partner with the Nestlé global MROI Program Lead to gain guidance in terms of embedding process (process implementation and upskilling) to drive a smoother execution of the program within Nespresso.  

 

In This Role, You Will: 

  • Lead the vision and strategic intent of the Marketing Intelligence function to drive initiatives around the three pillars of MMM, Attribution and Campaign/Activation Experimentation & Optimisation, ultimately driving efficiencies and effectiveness in marketing spend.  

  • Assume responsibility as a subject matter expert globally in evangelizing all impact measurement methodologies across your three pillars and your active contribution to fueling the Virtuous Circle. Drive accountability in informed marketing investment planning based on insights generated.  

  • Actively guide your Nestlé partners in delivering MMM across the identified market portfolio, bringing expertise related to Nespresso data specificities, business activities and brand specificities. Lead model validation to ensure high quality, explainability and actionability of the model.  

  • Build a globally applicable attribution model to measure activity effectiveness closer to activation, serving as a complementary measurement tool to MMM.  

  • Establish an experimentation framework and culture to embed consistent test-and-learn practices into our marketing activities with a particular focus on Digital Marketing and Consumer Engagement activation.  

  • Enable the embedding of effectiveness metrics in the various business processes in partnership with Finance.  

  • Drive business teams across marketing and B2C in turning results into concrete insights related to activation effectiveness overall (trade and consumer promotions, media, CRM, etc.) and detailed campaign optimization. 

  • Partner with and guide media and marketing agencies of record to familiarize them with the learnings and drive integration of them into their plan recommendations. 

 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • A minimum of 10 years, ideally 15 years, of demonstrated analytic consulting/delivery experience in marketing analytics with strong expertise in marketing effectiveness measurement (e.g., attribution measurement, marketing mix modelling, multi-touch attribution, sales lift measurement), acquired agency or client-side. 

  • Proven ability to set and communicate a strategic vision, inspiring and motivating across company leadership, as well as own teams and the broader organization towards shared goals. 

  • A track record of using measurement-informed insights generated by your team to influence and change investment plans to drive efficiencies and effectiveness in a Direct-to-Consumer context. 

  • A balanced business and analytical mindset to drive organizational understanding of the impact delivered through Marketing Effectiveness measurement. 

  • Familiarity with front-end and/or back-end software solutions. 

  • Familiarity with statistical modelling/machine learning techniques. 

  • Experience leading teams, with a demonstrated ability to support and grow talent.
