Position Summary

To strengthen our Global Tech Hub in Barcelona, we are looking for a Business Analyst in Asset Management – Mobile & Calibration to complete our Technical & Production and NesTMS Department 

 

 

In this position, you will establish and maintain a connection between IS/IT & business Consumers and Customers. As part of the Product Group Team, you will ensure a deep understanding of opportunities and issues facing business functions and advises on the best IT solutions. Furthermore, you will translate business strategies, opportunities, threats and needs into IS/IT product requirements and will play a key role within the Product Group Team to specify, test and deploy those IS/IT solutions. 

A day in the life

  • Gather functional requirements, write functional specifications, coordinate onshore /  offshore developers and vendors, write test scenarios and build prototypes for projects related to SAP-based solutions (PM/PS Modules) as well as related to other applications in Planned Maintenance /Project Management 
  • Identify, build, test and implement changes to current systems with the objective to ensure compliance, improve performance and/or usability. 
  • Act as the third level of support for AMM-PM/PS solutions, analyzing and resolving incidents. Drive root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes with focus on continuous improvement. 
  • Support the on boarding and training of new team members.  
  • Ensures that the Product/Product Group Managers and Business Relationship Manager are supported in the development of the strategy through incremental improvement of the product. 
  • Ensure the training materials for the Product Group area are documented. 
  • Oversee the delivery of training to the end users, deployment and support team. 
  • Support the analysis and resolution of solution issues as part of the third level sustain. 
  • Consults with product manager to define the minimum viable product (MVP) that satisfies the business need. 
  • Coach, motivate and direct staff belonging to various organizations (business and IS/IT) to understand the business needs and find the best solution that will both align with the customer objectives and the IS/IT strategy. 
  • Partner with business and IS/IT to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements, pain points or opportunities into IS/IT requirements. 
  • Partner with the BRM and Product Group Manager to facilitate both strategy and innovation planning with business stakeholders. 
  • Consult with Product Group teams and proposes alternative solutions. 

Are you a fit?

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, Sciences, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent; M.B.A. preferred. 
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in implementing SAP PM / PS, including: 
    • Asset Management Mobile Technologies: Prometheus, SAP Work Manager, SAP Inventory Manager 
    • Calibration technologies: ProCal, Beamex, etc. 
    • Functional locations and equipment structure 
    • Maintenance task lists, maintenance plans and work orders management 
    • Technical materials and technical stock management 
    • Project management system 
    • Reporting in PM / PS (including BW) 
    • Experience in implementation of other solutions in Assets Maintenance Management areas is a plus 
  • Expertise in configuration, implementation of best practices and knowledge of the latest functionalities available (i.e. Fiori, Personas). 
  • Extensive project management experience. 
  • Extensive business experience in a relevant function is beneficial. 
  • Strong experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment using design thinking methodology. 
  • Strong understanding of basic system engineering, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards. 
  • Understanding of various software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall). 
  • Understanding of modeling techniques. 
  • Understanding of business processes and ability to translate it into application requirements. 
  • Experience working in a global environment and with virtual teams. 
  • Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English.
