Position Summary

You are responsible of the whole compliance and transparency of managing and optimizing the entire life cycle of IS/IT assets to maximize business value delivery and value for money.

The role provides a consolidated view of asset portfolio investment, usage and timeline and provides/escalates data around the organizational aim of achieving an optimized mix among the various types of IS/IT asset investments.

Your role includes some aspects of advice and recommendations for identifying, prioritizing, and coordinating the best usage of the elements of the IS/IT asset portfolio and for providing guidance on volume and usage patterns to support sourcing of these assets.

You manage and analyze multiple views of the asset portfolio data down to market level to allow product managers and senior IS/IT leaders to define strategies and monitor their execution.

A day in the life of...

  • Contribution to IS/IT Strategy and Monitoring - under the supervision and guidance of her/his primary Community of Practice Lead and Head of Office of the CIO based in Switzerland
  • Provide visibility on usage, trends and forecasts versus plans and provides recommendations as to whether elements should continue as-is, be used in a different way, placed on hold or discontinued
  • Make recommendations for the IS/IT asset portfolio overall or for its various sub-portfolios that are clearly linked to IS/IT strategy, objectives and goals, reflecting an awareness of external dynamics
  • Ensure the oversight and coordination of dependencies across the elements in the asset portfolio, and resolve or escalate conflicts
  • Support teams that need to consume the assets for understanding what is available, how to best use it, what compliance means and what are the mandatory tracking activities and how
  • Direct the creation and maintenance of the required asset portfolio management capability, including artifacts, awareness and process material as well as the potential evolutions of the asset management automation solution
  • Provide visibility and transparency to key stakeholders in the enterprise to the IS/IT portfolio value and plans
  • Engage with and conducts quarterly (or at other intervals as specified) reviews with Product Managers, Business Relationship Managers and other relevant bodies to validate and assess the compliance of the asset portfolio, execute change, and reprioritize to meet business needs as required

What Will Make You Successful?

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of asset management
  • Demonstrated experience participating into strategic prioritization and complex governance initiatives
  • Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English
  • Experience having worked in a global environment and with virtual teams
  • Familiarity with the use of reporting tools to monitor portfolio activities and analyze portfolio performance.
  • Familiarity with one or more agile program management methodologies (such as Agile or SaFe)
  • Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units. Familiar with industry trends and innovation
