Position Summary

To strengthen our Global Tech Hub in Barcelona, we are looking for a IS/IT Product Manager - Frontend Tools and Platforms  to complete our Analytics, Data and Integration (ADI) Department

 

  

Under the supervision and guidance of your primary Community of Practice Lead and Product Group Manager, you will be responsible for all products within the Frontend product group and you will be responsible for the go-to-market strategy, product vision, vision execution as well as the end-to-end value delivery. You will be accountable for the products from ideation and strategy through continuous value management to retirement, with responsibility for the full life cycle of the products including service models. On the delivery side of the products, you will be responsible for analyzing and continuously managing the value for money. You will ensure they are adopted as widely as possible and you will deliver applications that support Nestlé's initiative to simplify the life of platform users. You will standardize work across Nestlé markets and businesses and share above market in centers of scale and competency. You will manage the team constituting Technology Leads in your area.  You will develop the business capabilities, aligned with stakeholders and ensure value to other vertical products and product groups.

A day in the life

  • Manage and evolve the portfolio of Frontend Platforms and Tools to meet the needs of the business for both IT top-down consumer grade applications, known as Production Line 3 (PL3) as well as business self-service, known as Production Line 4 (PL4).
  • Define the long-term business capability roadmap for Frontend Platforms and Tools based on expected business outcomes
  • Use deep understanding of the business and product capabilities to segment IS / IT customers and consumers based on their needs and profile. Provide an outside in based view of how to best target each segment
  • Working with the Business Relationship Manager, BI Solution Architects and Enterprise Architects, develop a product strategy and vision aimed at maximizing value in line with corporate and business strategy
  • Orchestrating internal and external functional stakeholders to define, validate and refine product vision, strategy, definitions and roadmaps and be fully responsible of the usage and utilization of the analytical products delivered to them.
  • Provide support to all Product Managers across Analytics, Data & Integration who depend on the Frontend platforms and Tools for delivering solutions to the business.
  • Work closely with resource pooling groups within ADI to ensure successful delivery of ADI products as a transversal service.
  • Prepare the strategy and communication material to create a shared understanding of the Frontend platforms and Tools positioning.
  • Ensure product contribution to the business value follow the guidelines of the CIO office for the business KPIs

And...

  • Oversee the analysis of the provided reports by the Performance Manager for insights of product impact and adoption in market. Work with customers to define and validate specific key value indicators (KVIs); define with team key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve the product value for Nestlé; retire the product at end of life based on trend analysis on KVIs and KPIs
  • Provide performance manager with relevant data in an automated way in accordance to performance management requirements (real-time, etc.)
  • Analyze competitive landscape, specifically for TCO / value for money to inform the product strategy before and during product life
  • Participate in the IS/IT governance processes that enable prioritization across multiple options and support the business governance processes
  • Understands the business risk appetite and delivers applications accordingly
  • Create the context: create alignment, lead by example, promote an open culture and our values in a sustainable way.
  • Select talent: recruit and onboard people and plan capabilities for the future
  • Develop people and drive performance: assess talents, define effective development plans, coach and build the right capabilities for the organization’s long-term success and recognize achievements.

Are you a fit?

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably computer science or similar.
  • 8+ years of experience in Analytics tools, Data Visualization and User Experience Design preferably in technologies including Microsoft Power BI and SAP Business Objects Business Intelligence suite (Design Studio, Web Intelligence, Dashboards). 
  • Demonstrated experience and a solid understanding of SAP BW HANA, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Reporting technologies, Predictive and Machine Learning technologies and coding skills in Javascript, R or Python offer a distinct advantage.
  • Proven track record of delivering IS/IT projects/programs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with excellent understanding of business needs and interdependencies
  • Good understanding of system engineering, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards
  • Senior stakeholder and Project management exposure
  • Experience in team leadership in an IS/IT delivery context, in a Global environment with virtual teams and outsourced entities
  • Understanding of various software development methodologies (e.g. agile, waterfall, design thinking)
  • Good understanding of IT services and how a mix of solution and service can accelerate product delivery lifecycles
  • Exposure within a product based organization is preferred plus a good understanding of  best-in-class technology applications
  • Above-average organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities at the same time
  • Effective communication skills at all levels of the organization with excellent spoken and written English
