Position Summary

To strengthen our Global Tech Hub in Barcelona, we are looking for a Senior Product Manager - Business Continuity Management to complete our Workforce 360 Department.

 

Under the supervision and guidance of your primary Community of Practice Lead and Business Relationship Manager for NBS based in Switzerland. You will be responsible for several products and for the go-to-market strategy, product vision and vision execution as well as the end-to-end value delivery (including IS/IT consumers’ adoption). You will be accountable for the product from ideation and strategy through continuous value management to retirement, with responsibility for the full life cycle of the product including ITIL service models (e.g, L2 and L3 support models). On the delivery side of the product, you will be responsible for analyzing and continuously managing the value for money, ensuring the product is adopted as widely as possible. You will deliver applications that support Nestlé's initiative to simplify the life of the end user, standardize work across Nestlé markets and businesses and share above market in centres of scale (CoS) and competence (CoC). You will also manage the team(s) developing the capabilities as well as the stakeholders receiving the capabilities and can deliver value to other products and product groups.

A day in the life of...

  • Ensures global BCM strategy for all businesses to enable fast recovery plan, procedure, management  guidelines and procedure to reduce impact of major disaster
  • Benchmarks Disaster Recovery Plan with industry practices to promote agile new solutions and/or new services to the business.
  • Conducts regular Disaster Recovery Readiness with Business and Technical Stakeholders, including GBSM,RBSM,GNBS CoS, and Heads of CoC
  • Defines, implements, monitors and continuously improves the overall Business Excellence strategy for the Nestlé Business Continuity Management, integrated across all technology solutions and shared services (CoC and CoS).
  • Program manage its initial implementation orchestrating the various players (IT platforms, products and support and leverage teams, Business Services central teams and Shared Service Centres heads, external partners).
  • Performs quality continuous improvement to be done in sync with the O-CIO Quality team
  • Provides solid risk assessment and monitoring to ensure business continuity management for business processes in scope of ISIT operations, Markets and Factory operations and Shared Service Centres (Centres of Scale and Centres of Competence), and ensures these are effective, adequate to magnitude of operations size, and operating as designed.
  • On an ongoing basis, ensures that Disaster Recovery Plans, Emergency procedures are adapted to risks changes, are in place and tested regularly.
  • Coordinates all aspects of recovery, relocation, management communication and restoration. Coordination with communications teams to provide timely updates and communications to employees and the media.
  • Continuously innovates and brings the best of the outside approaches to BCM and risk management to the Nestlé group. Envision new needs and upcoming threats to BCM in company operations, and anticipate approaches accordingly.
  • Manages, leads, coaches and develops an engaged and enthusiastic cross-functional team of experts to deliver innovative products and develop self and others.
  • While reporting into IT given the magnitude of the technology components in BCM, this position is accountable to the NBE LT for its outcomes, and will drive the OMP for BCM for NBE

What Will Make You Successful?

  • Bachelor degree or higher, preferably in computer science or in a field related to the product
  • 10+ year experience in IS/IT (e.g Business Continuity Management, Project Management ...)
  • BCI certification or ISO equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in a product based IS/IT organization
  • Strong knowledge of High availability, Backup and Recovery solution cross system and application
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of various software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall)
  • Understanding of modeling techniques
  • Excellent understanding of business complexity and interdependencies
  • Deep understanding of the IT landscape in the functional area
  • Understanding of how the technologies are applied in the scope by best-in-class companies
  • Organization: Above-average organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time 
  • Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English
  • Experience working in a global environment and with virtual teams
