To strengthen our Global Tech Hub in Barcelona, we are looking for an IS/IT Products & Projects Portfolio Manager to complete our Technical and Production (T&P) Department.

Position Snapshot

Position Summary

You will assume the overarching responsibility for supporting IS/IT T&P leadership in overseeing, managing and optimizing the entire life cycle of all IS/IT portfolios (investments, product groups, assets, suppliers, talent, projects, programs, and initiatives) to maximize value delivery and value for money.

The role provides a consolidated view of the IS/IT product management portfolio strategy, investment, and timeline and provides/escalate data around the organizational aim of achieving an optimized mix among the various types of IS/IT investments.

Your responsibilities will also include supporting product managers, senior IS/IT and business leaders to better define strategies and monitor their execution.  

Key responsibilities
  • Provide visibility on trends and forecasts versus plans and provide recommendations as to whether elements should continue as-is, be significantly changed, placed on hold or discontinued
  • Lead reviews of any significant portfolio elements on a periodic basis and on demand if they are challenged
  • As mandated by leadership, ensure and balance the availability of the required skills, competencies, and budget across teams within the portfolio
  • Make recommendations for the IS/IT portfolio overall or its various sub-portfolios that are clearly linked to IS/IT strategy, objectives and goals, reflecting an awareness of external dynamics
  • Facilitate the identification, prioritization, and coordination of resources engaged with all or many of the IS/IT portfolio components
  • Direct the development and maintenance of communications and reporting around the IS/IT portfolio and sub-portfolios, their contents and the individual performance of initiatives to IS/IT and business stakeholders and/or governance boards
  • Conduct regular meetings with the senior executive governance bodies and IS/IT T&P leadership team to inform and alert them of any issue arising from the performance of the individual elements within the portfolios to assure the on-plan usage and consumption of resources and funding, and to highlight any variance
  • Collaborate with senior product managers, BRMs and the business to identify opportunities
  • Ensure people, leadership and ways of working transformation is effective and rapid according to transformation plan managed by Technical and Production
  • Coach and mentor individually or in teams to secure collaboration, learnings and excellence mind set.
What will make you successful
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 7-10 years of diverse roles and increasing leadership responsibilities across major IS/IT projects and programs
  • Familiarity with the use of reporting tools to monitor portfolio activities and analyze portfolio performance
  • Familiarity with one or more agile program management methodologies (such as Agile or SaFe)
  • Understanding of all elements of the portfolios (product groups, talent, suppliers, investments and assets, etc.) and deep understanding of at least 3 of them
  • Tools and Technologies: WEBI/analytics. ServiceNow. Finance tools. SAP/CATS/Hire to Retire (H2R). PMI Certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain and "sell" the portfolio goals and objectives to business as well as technical leadership
  • Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English
  • Experience having worked in a global environment and with virtual teams.
