Position Snapshot

  • Esplugues de Llobregat, Barcelona
  • Permanent Contract.
  • Normal schedule +1 or 2 work weekends (not in a row) per month, compensated with free days in the week after.

Position Summary

  • Coordination of activities involving multiple teams simultaneously or separately for the purpose of applying system maintenance/updates/recovery
  • Active orchestration of cutover activities for select Projects or Sustain Interventions
  • Permanent full-time contract in a global environment.
  • Direct contribution to the IT Systems Availability
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.

To strengthen our Release Plan & Control Department, we are looking for an Operations Center Specialist. In this role, you will manage the teams, the tools and the processes, which enable technical specialists to flawless implementation and reduction of Incidents caused by Interventions a controlled, repeatable and safe way.

A day in the life of...

  • Planning of Critical Interventions – achieve scope sign-off by management and ensure that the intervention timeline is reflected in the Global Activity Calendar.
  • Preparation of Critical Interventions – Create a High-Level Plan and Documented Preparation Activities, obtain GO decision from management and schedule alignment calls / follow-up communications.
  • Execution and Check of Critical Interventions - Report on execution activities and Timely End-Users and Stakeholders Communication of key milestones.
  • Review of the Critical Interventions.
  • Process Ownership - drive global alignment in ways of working, process evolution, documentation and training.
  • Ensure smooth operation of an ITIL-based Change Management process.

What will make you successful

  • People Management skills to drive and develop a diverse team located in different countries and with different background and experience. Virtual Teams experience is a must.
  • International exposure and multicultural experience
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with peers and management internationally, in other areas of the IS/IT organization and in Business Streams.
  • Experience in communication both verbal and written at different levels in the organization. Ability to summarize and simplify.
  • Manage priorities while working on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously. Work on weekends and/or outside business hours.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and delivering complex projects and processes in a global networked organization
  • Ability to work in a technical environment, supporting customers of varying skill levels and backgrounds, and ability to translate technical aspects into simple terms.
  • Technical acumen of basic system engineering principles, architecture standards, information risk and security. Understanding of business complexity and interdependencies
  • ServiceNow experience in change and release module is a plus.
