Position Summary

Under the supervision and guidance of her/his primary Community of Practice Lead and Product Group Manger based in Switzerland, the IS/IT Quality Lead achieves excellence in Testing and Quality practices.

 

IS/IT Quality Lead is in charge of managing the validation of business critical applications that are developed or integrated by the Design and Build teams or services providers. The mission covers all functional and non-functional aspects of testing, including cyle testing, performance, non-regression (manual and automation), integration and acceptance tests.

In order to assume this mission, the IS/IT Quality Lead should set up and maintain an efficient organization which is able to serve the incoming projects. The aim is to continuously extend the portefolio by exposing and proposing a catalogue of testing services to all the Nestlé group entities in a consistent way.

IS/IT Quality Lead should have a continuous improvement approach by promoting technology watch, best practices and innovation.

 

IS/IT Quality Lead is also the budget owner under the finance controller's drive.

 

Moreover, the TCoE delivery manager is a team leader so he have to manage the aspiration of internals and externals team members.

The IS/IT Quality Lead provides services to help product management and product teams manage and deploy releases into production. 

A day in the life of...

  •  Define the test Strategy and approach as well as the organization of the testing organization. In addition, lead the selection of the associated tooling to use for automation and VST and functional testing.
  • Ensure that we operate efficiently and secure applications with the appropriate level of quality in accordance with Globe/Nespresso standards.
  • Define, document and maintain a global testing strategy (including governance and quality gates) and the associated tooling applied by the Software Factory and it partners to validate all Nespresso deliverables
  • Limit the number of redundant tools while covering all the type of tests such as manual testing, performance testing, acceptance testing and automated testing. Ensure that the selected tools are compatible with the SDLC maintained by the Quality Assurance team.
  • Select and deploy the most suitable tools for managing the test activities (Test plan, Test execution, Dash boarding...). This must include the validation of Mobile B2C applications.
  • Deliver a clear and comprehensive communication about the quality of our deliverables. Define KPIs and measure them.
  • Ensure the expected quality and accuracy of the software deliverables with the respect of official roadmaps.
  • Participate in the development iteration, acquire competencies on the developed functionalities, provide feedback to the development team, and ensure the work is carried out in accordance with the quality requirements and the agreed planning.
  • Define and put in place the adapted set up in order to meet excepted quality according to the budget. Be able to follow the team workplan and the budget.
  • Manage and develop the team with our services providers. Ensure the proper integration of new resources included the offsite resources. Maintain an up-to-date team capacity in accordance with the provisioned budget and the testing planning. Rationalise the testing suppliers base ensuring Nespresso IS receives value for money from suppliers with appropriately structured contracts balanced for commercial risk, flexibility and reflecting the long term roadmaps. Define and implement the integration of an off-site competence centre suitable for test execution. Put in place relevant setup/ way of working for of site

  • Define and review QA best practices and provide feedback loop to incorporate new learnings

What Will Make You Successful?

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of IS/IT related experience or 5+ years of software release experience
  • Proven experience in project management in a global networked organization (Project Management Certification is a +)
  • Customer facing experience and presentation skills with executives and end-users (customers)
  • Experience in application development that demonstrates thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Detailed understanding of change, configuration and release management processes based on ITIL.
  • Understand agile development methodology and DevOps and experience communicating with both management and engineering.
  • Good understanding of Datacenters setup
  • Good understanding about the Business/Markets requirements for systems stability and availability, and how it is being affected by interventions or incidents
  • Overall understanding of the Business Processes and how they are supported by IS/IT systems
  • Capacity to understand multi-level failure scenarios that can result from release activities
  • Proven ability to discern critical problems from the minor ones
  • Capable of recognizing patterns and opportunities for improvement the entire organization
  • Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English
  • Experience having worked in a global environment and with virtual teams
  • Experience with various testing practices functional and non-functional
  • Experience with analyzing and documenting complex technical issues.
  • Experience with HP/Atlassian tools (ALM, QTP, Performance Center, etc.)
