Position Summary

 

In order to strengthen the capabilities of our IT Service Management Department, we are currently looking for an IT Product/Project Portfolio Specialist

 

In this position and under the guidance and supervision of the  IT Service Management Product Group Manager you will provide a consolidated view of the  IT Service Management product/project portfolio, its investments and engagements with external vendors. This will allow you to support Product and regional Managers in optimizing their products and suppliers, ensuring that data is accurate and compliant with governance rules, performing maintenance routines and corrective action on deviations wherever appropriate. You will ensure that costs are recorded accurately on the relevant recording systems as defined by IT Portfolio Management and Finance. You will be able to provide advice and recommendations by analyzing multiple views of the Product/Project portfolio data down to product/project/vendor level. You will have the opportunity to streamline and improve the management and administration of processes related to the product/project/vendor portfolios. You will support specific projects and programs. You will represent the  IT Service Management product stream in a various forums and meetings within the Information Technology organization.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Ensure portfolio management data and processes adhere to governance set out by Nestlé, and IT Service management performing data and process quality audits on regular basis and participating in cross-functional data cleansing activities as needed.
  • Lead reviews of any significant product/project/vendor portfolio elements on a periodic basis and on demand if they are challenged
  • Provide visibility on trends and forecasts versus plans and provide recommendations as to whether elements should continue as-is, be significantly changed, placed on hold or discontinued
  • Provide support to product/project managers on portfolio management tools, reports and vendor administration, ensuring functional and technical issues are documented and followed up
  • Design, implement and maintain the required portfolio management capability, including artifacts, awareness, process and reporting material
  • Facilitate and execute processes with vendors in coordination with Finance, Procurement, and IT partner delivery teams, developing reports and tools that support decision making by IT management and product/project managers.
  • Coordinate cost planning exercises and monitoring on regular basis to ensure accuracy of plans vs expenses, handling and resolving cost allocation issues, accruals, cross charging and other activities to ensure good book keeping, adapting processes as guidelines evolve or change.
  • Streamline and simplify the processes of business case definition, cost planning, expenses management, administration and reporting.
  • Champion IT Service management product/project portfolio goals and objectives, IT-wide and if needed enterprise-wide
  • Apply best practices in portfolio formulation and development
  • Contribute to the IT Service management strategy

 

Key requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a combination of Portfolio Management, Project Management, information and IS/IT jobs and over 3 years in managing IT Portfolios
  • Demonstrated experience in managing "upward" among senior leadership
  • Demonstrated experience participating into strategic prioritization and complex governance initiatives
  • Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English
  • Experience having worked in a global environment and with virtual teams
