Position Summary


 

To strengthen our Global IT Hub in Barcelona, we are looking for a Business Analyst – Business Solution Integration – Data Integration to complete our Analytics, Data and Integration (ADI) Department.


In this position, you will establish and maintain a connection between IS/IT & business Consumers and Customers. As part of the Product Group Team, you will ensure a deep understanding of opportunities and issues facing business functions and advises on the best IT solutions. Furthermore, you will translate business strategies, opportunities, threats and needs into IS/IT product requirements and will play a key role within the Product Group Team to specify, test and deploy those IS/IT solutions.
 

A day in the life of...


 

•    Engage with Product Managers, Business Analysts and Tech Leads of other IT Streams for understanding the needs of integration and gaps where BSI Data integration can collaborate providing solutions.
•    Partner with business and IS/IT to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements, pain points or opportunities into IS/IT requirements.
•    Ensures that the Product Managers/Product Group Managers and Business Relationship Manager are supported in the development of the strategy through incremental improvement of the product.
•    Partner with the BRM and Product Group Manager to facilitate both strategy and innovation planning with business stakeholders.
•     Secures that program development, logic, process flows and specifications are analyzed, documented and tested.
•    Ensure the training materials for the Product Group area are documented, as well as oversee the delivery of training to the end users, deployment and support team.
•    Consults with product manager to define the minimum viable product (MVP) that satisfies the business need.
•    Coach, motivate and direct staff belonging to various organizations (business and IS/IT) to understand the business needs and find the best solution that will both align with the customer objectives and the IS/IT strategy.
•    Consult with Product Group teams and proposes alternative solutions.

What will make you successful



•    Bachelor's degree in business, information systems or related discipline, or equivalent; M.B.A. preferred.
•    Demonstrated experience in:

  • Managing or executing activities that process business data from diverse sources both inside and outside of company boundaries.  
  • Applying creative methods to consume data from IS/IT sources or move data between IS/IT solutions in the ecosystem.  

•    8+ years of relevant business analysis experience in a functional area within IT.
•    Experience working in an IS/IT delivery context, in a global environment, with virtual teams.
•    Strong experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment using design thinking methodology.
•    Strong understanding of business processes and ability to translate it into application requirements.
•    Understanding of how data is considered an asset and how technologies are applied by best-in-class companies
•    Understanding of basic system engineering, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards.
•    Understanding of various software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall).
•    Understanding of data modeling techniques, ETL and data integration practices.
•    Curious about new technology, willingness to experiment
•    Autonomous and proactive in proposing action plans, establishing relationships and engaging with different areas of the IS/IT organization and the business
•    Strong experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English.
