The role

We are looking for an IS/IT Business Analyst Engineering/AMM & SHE to join a multi-cultural Regional Business Solution Europe team with a multi-disciplinary and multi-category business context. 

 

The main purpose of this position is to help IT Technical & Production business stream leaders to shape their strategies related to product adoptions. S/He acts as the single point of contact between an organization’s stream leadership and multiple IS/IT Product/Platform Managers. Holds the responsibility for the project structure, plan and execution, monitoring and control, ensuring quality and integrity of the information across the enterprise.  As part of the Engineering & SHE Product Team, you bring deep understanding to the opportunities and issues facing the markets and businesses related to factory Engineering/SHE processes and advice on the best solutions. You further translate business strategies, opportunities, threats and needs into IS/IT product requirements, and play a key role within the product team to specify, test and deploy those as IS/IT solutions mainly related to Engineering and SHE areas.

 

What you’ll do 

  • As a Business Analyst, your focus will be (but not limited to) on Engineering, AMM & SHE:

    • Support and direct staff belonging to various organizations (business and IS/IT) to understand the business needs and find the best solution that will both align with the customer objectives and the IS/IT strategy, build prototypes for projects related to SAP-based solutions (PM/PS Modules) as well as related to other applications in Asset Maintenance /Project Management / SHE and Engineering areas.

    • Identify, build, test and implement changes to current local applications with the objective to ensure compliance, improve performance and/or usability.

    • Act as the third level of support for AMM-PM/PS solutions, analyzing and resolving incidents. Drive root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes with focus on continuous improvement.

    • Drive adoption of global applications, security and  compliance of local applications and decommissioning of legacy applications

    • Ensure the training materials for the Product Group area are documented and oversee the delivery of training to the end users, deployment and support team.

    • Partners with the BRM and Product Group Manager to facilitate both strategy and innovation planning with business stakeholders.

Minimum qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, Sciences, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent; M.B.A. preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience of in a relevant functional area.
  • Extensive business experience in a relevant function is beneficial.
  • Extensive project implementation experience.
  • Extensive experience with effective communication at different levels in an organization.
  • Excellent understanding of business complexity and interdependencies
  • Understanding of business processes and ability to translate it into application requirements.
  • Strong understanding of basic system engineering, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards2.
  • Availability to travel to Markets and Factories in Europe, potentially up to 20% of the work time.
     

Bonus Points If you have: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and with additional languages as a plus.
  • Strong experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment using design-thinking methodology (Waterfall, etc).
  • Understanding of basic system engineering, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards.
  • Understanding of modeling techniques.
  • Understanding of business processes and ability  to translate it into application requirements.
  • Organization: Above-average organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and stakeholders at the same time. Ability to work and collaborate in a virtual team with people across countries with different culture & time zone. Track record of successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
