Position Summary

 

We are currently looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team in Barcelona. You will support the Nestlé group’s procurement with holistic, pragmatic and business oriented legal advice, with a  focus on Logistics (i.e. Warehousing, Supply chain services and Road Transport) and Transfer Pricing.You will report directly to the General Counsel of Nestrade S.A., and will be an integral part of the Legal Procurement Team handling the global procurement for Nestlé group.

A day in the life of a Legal Counsel for Logistics & Transfer Pricing

 

•    The provision of legal advice and support to the Logistics (Warehousing, Supply chain services and Road Transport) and Transfer Pricing areas
•    Raising awareness, visibility and the importance of Legal matters to internal stakeholders /relevant clients.
•    Supporting the Legal Procurement Team in developing best in class form agreements, processes (including risk assessment) for above market transactions within Procurement.
•    Assiting with the establishment and implementation of effective and efficient workflow processes to ensure functional alignment with Legal at Zones, Markets and GMBs levels.
•    Protecting the best interests of Nestlé, always aligned with the fundamental Corporate and Procurement policies (e.g. Nestlé Responsible Sourcing Standard, Nestlé Corporate Business Principles, Nestlé Code of Business Conduct etc.) and any other applicable internal policy/guideline.
•    Providing overall support relating to the ongoing legal requirements of the Procurement Company.
•    Supporting the General Counsel for Procurement in the management of the legal affairs of Procurement worldwide.
 

What will make you successful

 

•    A minimum of 5 years PQE as a lawyer. 
•    Experience of working in varied legal environments. 
•    Previous exposure to Logistics (Warehousing, Supply Chain Services, Road Transport) and Transfer Pricing procurement.
•    An ability to provide informed advice in relation to activities and processes connected to the negotiation and procurement of goods and services
•    Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
•    A highly developed knowledge of international and commercial law and practice. Experience in common law practice a plus.
•    The ability to apply the law to gain business advantage.
•    Excellent organizational skills and an ability to handle an important workload, and to prioritize and manage client expectations.
•    An ability to work with colleagues and manage stakeholders from different disciplines and cultures.
•    Experience of managing high pressure / high visibility projects under the scrutiny of senior management.
•    Fluency in spoken and written English at a professional level.
