We are looking for a Observability and Reliability Platform Manager to be part of our Nestlé Nespresso Digital and Tech Team.

The Role  

As the Observability and Reliability Platform Manager, you'll have the opportunity to shape the strategic direction and drive impactful initiatives aimed at boosting system observability, performance, and reliability. This role puts you at the forefront of ensuring that systems are consistently monitored, incidents are detected and addressed swiftly, and operational processes are optimized for lasting stability. 

 

You will lead a dynamic team of engineers, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to define ambitious reliability goals and implement solutions that not only improve system uptime but also enhance customer satisfaction. In This Role, You Will: 

  • Strategy Development: lead global observability and reliability across all applications and infrastructure. and set and track reliability metrics (SLOs, SLIs) and improve monitoring system. 

  • Operational Effectiveness & Efficiency: manage observability, SRE, or operations engineering teams to optimize system performance, incident management, and automation using tools like: Use tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). 

  • Value Management: identify key value indicators (KVIs) and work with product managers to improve platform performance and adoption. 

  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: align technology solutions with business goals and communicate with stakeholders to ensure transparency in IS/IT vision and objectives. 

  • Risk Management: ensure automated data quality and collaborate on risk mitigation. 

  • Partner Delivery Management: act as a sponsor or escalation point for critical partner delivery issues in coordination with Product Managers. 

  • Leadership: foster a positive team culture, recruit and onboard talent, manage team performance, provide feedback and reward achievements to drive results and continuous improvement. 

  • Talent development: ensure team development through training, coaching, and innovation projects. 

 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or a related field. 

  • 10+ years of proven experience in organizational culture, ideally as Engineering Manager, Product Manager or in a related role, with a focus on seniority level. 

  • Strong technical expertise in tools such as New Relic, Grafana, and Dynatrace. 

  • 5+ years of demonstrated leadership in at least one business domain relevant to the Stream’s focus. 

  • Sales, Marketing, and Communications: Extensive experience in advocating, marketing, and communicating new ideas or products, with a strong belief in their essential role for the success of the scope. 

  • A solid track record of ownership and successful delivery of results in fast-paced, dynamic environments. 

  • Deep understanding of agile and iterative product development methodologies (e.g., design thinking, lean start-up), including expertise in focus group management, customer journey mapping, competitive research, and customer research. 

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels in English.
