The Role:
As an IT Product Group Vendor Manager, you will support the Product Group in product operations and service delivery through external partners, ensuring effective Vendor Management across Nestlé IT. 

Your role involves coaching and enabling IT Products and Vendors, establishing best practices, and aligning strategies with industry standards and governance frameworks.

 

Leading operations through external vendors, you will drive collaboration between IT Vendors and Product teams, define service delivery strategies, manage risk and performance, and oversee contract execution. 

 

As a Subject Matter Expert, you will work closely with Nestlé Global Procurement to implement transparent performance metrics and structured governance. You will also act as the escalation point for vendor-executed operations and help stakeholders adopt IT sourcing strategies and priorities, ensuring high-quality services that exceed business expectations.

 

Main duties:

  • Deliver best-in-class IT Products with the right balance of external services or assets at the best value for money, risk and speed balance; Delivering quality and Vendor Management capabilities that balance value, cost, risk and speed over time according to IT technology sourcing strategy.
  • Lead IT Vendor Governance: define action plans and monitor actions following the company IT Objectives key priorities
  • Lead the evaluation of optimal sourcing and pricing options, taking into consideration outsourcing, managed services, cloud, hybrid and insourcing models
  • Advise IT Product Group team about appropriate service expectations around timing, execution of strategy and delivery 
  • Act as "due-diligence" to "check-monitor the services delivered by Vendors
  • Demand Management: AppMS services demand, scope & Profile definition, to support product roadmap delivery
  • Drive effective usage of Service consumption through Service Catalog. Guide PMs on available services to meet their needs.
  • Support Vendors to mitigate any issues (risk management)
  • Support & Coach Vendor to gain maturity for providing E2E services independently
  • Facilitate Problem Management for the relevant Product Groups(execution by Vendors with Product teams)
  • Ensure DevSecOps toolchain implementation and coach both Partners & PMs
  • Enable VITOM, generate product optimizations and increase product agility
  • Support L1 Transition & market onboarding
  • Performance Management: setting targets, Performance Monitoring & Improvements
  • Productivity Management - Monitor/Control/Support: AppMS Service Ordering, PO Management, Invoicing & Invoicing accuracy
  • Business case monitoring & generate financial efficiencies on TCO for the Product Group
  • Define/Drive/participate in Operational review meetings: Operations, Product, Vendors, Region, Market
  • Ensure proper partner workforces onboarding by providing specific access to roles and offboarding.
  • Manage escalations with & for the relevant Product Group

What Will Make You a Great Fit:

  • Preferably a bachelor's degree in Business (IT Management), Engineering, IT, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT, specializing in IT Service Management, Service Delivery, or Vendor Management within a global organization.
  • Proven experience in negotiating and managing IT contracts and vendor relationships, or working as an IT vendor managing customer accounts.
  • Strong background in establishing standard processes, managing performance metrics, and collaborating with internal functions (e.g., Procurement, Legal, Finance) to ensure full vendor contract and business compliance.
  • Comfortable engaging with both internal and external senior leaders, including executive-level collaboration.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing virtual teams across multiple locations (near-shore and off-shore).
  • Experience working in a matrix organization with well-developed influencing skills.

 

 

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Lean methodologies.
  • Understanding of Logistics Supply Chain IT applications (SAP EWM, TM, WM).
