We are on the lookout for a highly skilled professional with exceptional leadership qualities, outstanding communication skills, and analytical abilities to join our newly established Global Nestlé Data Governance team in Barcelona, Spain. The role: 

 

This role is all about setting up and managing tools and processes to improve and optimize team performance. By doing so, you'll help us achieve our strategic objectives of managing our data as enterprise assets, ensuring they are maintained and utilized effectively to support our business goals. 

 

Under the guidance of the Group Head of Data Governance, you will be responsible for defining best practices and ways of working, supporting the team through continuous improvement methodology and business process mapping. You'll ensure that team performance is continuously measured, and priorities are defined and tracked according to team goals, all while aligning with Nestlé group priorities. 

 

What you’ll do: 

 

As a Data Governance Product Stream Operations Manager (Performance Excellence), you will: 

 

  • Support the team in establishing and monitoring progress against strategic plan with clear priorities that contribute to group objectives. 
  • Establish and run performance measurement to monitor data governance and team efficiency through clear reporting of KPI’s and supporting definition of corrective actions and continuous improvement.      
  • Support and coach teams to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas of waste in processes and systems by applying lean methodology (or equivalent). 
  • Establish robust ways of working, methodologies that foster collaboration across teams and geographies. 
  • Support Head of Data Governance in running operations including vendor management, forecasting, team meetings, portfolio management. 
  • As the team develops and evolves, a part of your time may be invested in Data Stewardship activities for a certain data domain.

What will make you a great fit? 

 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Proven experience in a diverse role with increasing leadership responsibility in IT, Data Management, and leveraging Performance Excellence tools and methodology (e.g., lean, six-sigma, TQM etc.) 
  • Strong and effective communication skills, with the ability to leverage them at different levels within the organization and in English.  
  • The ability to lead and influence without authority, fostering alignment in teams with varied profiles. 
  • A high level of flexibility and agility to adapt to the evolving nature of a role in a new organization 

 

Bonus Points If You: 

 

  • Have a strong understanding of Data Governance practices (Cataloging, Quality, Definition, Curation, GS1 standards etc.).  
  • Understand various software used in the Data Domain (e.g. SAP Finance, SAP Master Data Governance …).
