Position Summary

 

In order to complete our IT Platforms Department, we are currently looking for a SAP Test Automation Expert

 

In this position, you will bring deep expertise and knowledge to the SAP Developments & Testing platform team. As a SAP Test Automation Expert, you will be responsible for guiding and promoting the usage of the Test Automation tools amongst the functional streams, coaching and supporting functional experts in the design, implementation and sustain of their automation scope.

 

You will work closely with the SAP Test Automation Analysts and suppliers to ensure that the test script roadmap will be delivered in time and with the quality standards agreed. Also, you will be responsible for supervising the design as well as the implementation within the scope agreed, owning the overall testing strategy and governance.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop the automation roadmap for the functional streams, working closely with the Product Stream Operations Managers
  • Make recommendations on how to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and delivery of services through use of (emerging) technology and technical methods and methodologies
  • Participate in the development of and/or review of standards, documentation and methods of working with automation
  • Provide independent review of team testing deliverables
  • Responsible for ensuring that a clear automation governance is put in place and agreed with the functional streams in order to better scope the service
  • Liaise closely with vendors for proof of concepts of new tools available in the market related to business process/test script automation
  • Work with IS/IT Innovation managers, Platform managers, Product Stream Operations Managers and Business Analysts as required to ensure any solution within their specific specialism fits with automation
  • Drive continuous improvements through KPIs
Are you a fit?

 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years in IT field, focusing on QA testing and Automation testing, including 5+ years of experience in design and development of automation frameworks and automation testing strategies for large scale applications
  • Solid experience in writing, executing and monitoring automated test suites using a variety of technologies including, but not limited to, Worksoft and Tosca (Tricentis)
  • Strong background in SAP project management & SAP architecture, including managing SAP testing tools such as Solution Manager
  • Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle, specifically automated quality assurance processes
  • Good understanding of RPA tools
  • Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills
  • Ability to understand the financial impact of technology alternatives
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness in a rapidly changing environment and the willingness to respond quickly and positively to change
  • Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English
  • Experience working in a global environment and with virtual teams
