To grow E-Commerce team in Barcelona, we are currently looking for a Senior Front-End Developer. 
 

Position Snapshot 

 

  • Location: Nespresso Hub, Barcelona. Spain. 

  • Type of Contract: Permanent.  

  • Type of work: Hybrid. 

  • Work Language: Fluent Business English.

 

The Role 

 

As a Front-end Developer, you will play a vital role in crafting exceptional web experiences that delight users across the globe. You will transform business needs into seamless user interfaces, guiding the team with your expertise in frontend best practices. Your contributions will help shape our design system and ensure a consistent experience for millions of users in over 40 markets. 

 

Your mission will be to help Nespresso create smooth, stunning, and scalable web experiences. You’ll turn designs into code, code into magic, and bugs… into features (just kidding — we squash those).  
 

In this Role, You will:  

 

  • Utilize technologies such as React, SCSS, Vite, Storybook, GitHub Actions, and Figma — while continuously exploring improved tools to enhance developer experience (DX) and performance. Code responsive, accessible (WCAG) components and pages that scale (no “div soup” allowed). 

  • Build for scale across 40+ markets, serving millions of users with global consistency. 

  • Contribute to shaping our frontend architecture and influence our Design System strategy, Continuous Integration (CI) flows, and engineering guidelines. 

  • Transform business needs into seamless user experiences using your frontend expertise. 

  • Provide guidance to the team on architecture, tooling, and best practices. We value diverse perspectives, from mentoring to tooling and hiring. 

  • Manage priorities effectively: speed, quality, brand, and coffee — balancing them all. 

  • Enhance our workflow: propose new tools, workflows, or improved technology. 

  • Collaborate with product, design, and content teams to deliver exceptional outcomes. 

 

 What We are Looking for 

 

  • 5+ years of experience converting designs into production while navigating various browser quirks. 

  • Proficient in HTML, CSS (SASS/SCSS), and JavaScript, with a commitment to clean, accessible code. 

  • Strong expertise in React, with the ability to create reusable and efficient components. 

  • Experience with testing tools such as Jest/Vitest. You understand that “it worked on my machine” is not a valid excuse for not writing tests. 

  • Familiarity with Git, JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence. 

  • Excellent communication skills in English, facilitating effective remote teamwork. 

  • An agile mindset — you embrace iterative delivery and collaborative environments.
