We are looking for a Solution Architect - Data Integration to be part of our Analytics, Data and Integration (ADI) team.

The role 

 

To strengthen our IT Hub in Barcelona, we are looking for a Solution Architect to complete our Analytics, Data and Integration (ADI) Department. This position will be part of the Global Business Solution Integration Team, which supports Nestlé markets worldwide through a group of Hubs in different locations that provide support in a shifting time window (FTS model).  

 

In this position, you will be accountable for supporting proactively and holistically Enterprise Architecture (EA) activities within the Product Groups and Platforms that fit within the overall EA and meet the product group strategy. As a Solutions Architect, you will provide the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to the development of a product or a set of products within a product group. You will work closely with DevOps / Development teams and suppliers to secure that the value planned will be delivered in the most optimal way and you will be accountable for supervising the design as well as the integration execution within the scope, owning the solution architecture specification.

 

What you’ll do 

  • Manage and develop the architecture for a set of products / platforms utilizing an API first approach and ensuring maximum reusability.
  • Deliver the architectural design for products and inputs to the roadmap by utilizing knowledge of defined reference architectures, technology trends, and implementation experience in order to translate a business need into a solution blueprint that represents an end-to-end technical solution.
  • Lead the implementation and integration of technical architecture across a product group based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities and business requirements.
  • Identify the organizational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures or culture) and financial impact of the solution architecture.
  • Define and document the guidelines, standards and solution architecture to ensure product-based decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision.
  • Design and direct the governance activities associated with ensuring product architecture assurance and compliance.
  • Engage with Tech Leads, BAs, Product Managers and EA within (and across) the product groups to ensure alignment with the overall enterprise architecture.

Minimum qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a solution architect or delivering architecture responsibilities on Business/IT projects.
  • 7+ years of experience in Application Integration, Data Integration and/or Agile methodologies that leverage APIs. 
  • Must have experience in IT Solution Development disciplines, including Technical Architecture, Network Management, Application Development, Database Management or Operations. 
  • Knowledge and experience with Azure Data Factory.
  • Knowledge and/ or product experience with Confluent/Kafka/ASAPIO.

 

Bonus Points if you: 

  • Knowledge and experience with API integrations.
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP Business Object Data Services (SAP BODS)/ETL.
  • Knowledge of Mulesoft.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
  • Knowledge and good expertise in applying solution integration patterns that cover application, data and API led design concepts enabling transaction flow for scenarios such as application to application (A2A), business to business (B2B), event driven (B2C, etc) or data flow for scenarios such as data migration, replication, test data provisioning and master data sync.
  • Understanding of agile methods and processes, and capability of supporting agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt.
