Position Summary:
The Strategic Portfolio Architect drives the strategic alignment and technical execution of marketing technology solutions across Product Groups and Platforms, ensuring alignment with the overarching Global Marketing Technology Architecture. This senior leadership role balances technological innovation with business imperatives, maintaining a comprehensive view of the Group Marketing organization’s strategy, processes, information, and technology assets.
The Strategic Portfolio Architect ensures that marketing technology solutions deliver simplicity, agility, and measurable impact, providing a cohesive architectural vision that connects diverse technologies to unlock business growth and innovation. S/He is accountable for optimizing the architecture landscape to maximize business value while ensuring security, compliance, and operational scalability.
Partnering with Product Owners, Product Group Managers, and Solution Architects, the Strategic Portfolio Architect translates complex business demands into actionable, value-driven technical strategies. S/He provides thought leadership, sets direction for technology evolution, and drives collaboration with DevOps teams, enterprise architecture, and key suppliers to ensure that solutions deliver both immediate and long-term business outcomes.
Additionally, the Strategic Portfolio Architect leads the design and integration of solutions within Nestlé's platforms, generative AI models, and enterprise data governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and best practices while championing innovation and continuous improvement.
What you’ll do
- Define and drive the strategic direction of marketing technologies, aligning them with business goals and the Global Marketing Technology Strategy.
- Establish architecture roadmaps that ensure long-term sustainability and adaptability of solutions.
- Oversee the seamless integration of marketing technologies within and across platforms, ensuring interoperability across key domains (Content & Social Media, MarTech/AdTech, Consumer Experience/Websites).
- Define, implement, and enforce integration standards to ensure a cohesive, scalable, and reliable technology ecosystem.
- Set and enforce robust security and compliance frameworks to ensure all marketing technology solutions adhere to organizational standards and industry regulations.
- Ensure architecture aligns with evolving global compliance requirements, safeguarding business continuity and reputation.
- Lead the adoption of emerging technologies, including generative AI and advanced analytics, to drive transformational business impact.
- Champion initiatives to simplify and optimize the marketing technology landscape for agility and effectiveness.
- Establish metrics and frameworks to monitor the performance of implemented solutions, driving data-driven improvements.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, Product Owners, and Product Group Managers, providing strategic guidance on architecture and technology evolution.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to align technology strategies with business priorities, ensuring cohesive decision-making.

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
- +5 years of experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or operations.
- Understanding of agile methods and processes, and capability of supporting agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt.
- Demonstrate expertise in relevant programming languages, frameworks, and IT infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot technical issues effectively and implement efficient, scalable solutions. Proactively evaluate and adopt new technologies.
- Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations.
- Effectively communicates in English at different levels in the organisation.
- Experiences working in a global environment and with virtual teams.
