About the Role
As a QA Lead, you will be working on the web technology powering the Nespresso eCommerce business. You will work in a direct-to-customer context with significant volumes and traffic and a very rich feature offering, being part a of large development organization with direct impact to the online business.
As a central part of the software engineering community, you will bring deep technical expertise and knowledge to the product team, being part of the technical reference team for Nespresso web applications, focusing on the testing strategy and automation practices. You will guide and promote optimal use of process and technology to support the cost-effective delivery of business requirements within the area of expertise.
As a QA Lead, you will be responsible for defining the QA and testing strategy to ensure the quality and reliability of our web applications, with a strong focus on driving the test automation framework. You will work closely to cross-functional delivery teams, to ensure the adoption of the QA and testing practices and with Release and DevOps teams to streamline the release cycle and improve the overall quality of our web applications.
What You’ll Bring
• Define and keep updated the QA and testing strategy for Nespresso web applications.
• Define and keep updated the test automation strategy and practices for Nespresso web applications, using industry-standard tools and frameworks, ensuring maximum test coverage and efficiency.
• Ensure that the cross-functional delivery teams follow the defined guidelines and deliver according to the quality standards of the Nespresso release cycles.
• Mentor and guide QA engineers/testers, providing technical expertise and support in test automation.
• Monitor and maintain the test automation framework and infrastructure, ensuring its reliability and scalability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in web application testing and test automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, DevOps and release engineers to continuously improve the overall quality and efficiency of the testing process.
Who You Are
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Automation Test Lead or similar role, specifically in web application testing.
• Strong knowledge of web application testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
• Proven experience using Gherkin and Xray..
• Proficiency in using automation testing tools/frameworks, such as Playwright.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for web applications.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Effectively communicates in English at different levels in the organization.
