We are a global team of 120+ spread around the world with most of the product management teams located in our Barcelona IT Hub in Spain. Within IT HR – we are broadly organized into 3 product groups mirroring our HR function.

This particular job-ad is for a position within the Employee Lifecycle & Total Rewards product group. Within this product group, we have the below products: 

  • HR Core 
  • Payroll & Time 
  • Retail Scheduling 
  • Employee Digital Services & Automation 
  • Total Rewards – Global Mobility 
  • Total Rewards – Compensation & Benefits.
Position Summary

In this position, you will be responsible to guide and promote optimal use of technology to support the cost-effective delivery of business requirements within your area of expertise. As a Technology Expert, you will be working at the leading edge of IS/IT for the product or platform, perform preliminary studies, helping to set the technological direction with the product or platform manager. You will support delivery and sustain the most complex applications and business capabilities and may be accountable for specific deliverables in relation to development or support or may lead the technical activity within your area of specialty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide deep specialist guidance and support in your specific specialties and support the integration of solutions with various technologies 
  • Support and influence the technical activity (design, build, test, document) in significant or complex innovation initiatives, accountable to the Innovation or Product Manager for the delivery and quality of technical deliverables 
  • Recommend on how to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and delivery of services through the use of (emerging) technology and technical methods and methodologies 
  • Provide the product team with hand-on technical expertise, advising on best technology solutions, translating the business vision into technical vision 
  • Participate in the development of and/or review of standards, documentation, and methods of working in the relevant area of expertise 
  • Perform preliminary studies, general systems specifications and detailed systems specifications 
  • Consider a broad range of options and apply sound judgement to develop solutions within your specific specialism 
  • Ensure solution operational readiness: define global procedures and processes for operations in your area of expertise 
  • Ensure IS/IT Customer and Consumer requirements are met, and service quality maintained when introducing new products. Consider the cost effectiveness of proposed solutions 
  • Work with IS/IT Innovation Managers, Product Managers, Tech Leads, Solution Architects and Business Analysts as required to ensure any solution within their specific specialism fits with strategic and technical direction 
  • Assist others in resolving complex technical problems and investigating the root cause of problems and recommend smart (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, timely) solutions 
  • Participate in peer reviews of deliverables and carry out formal and informal reviews of technical designs, standards, documentation and/or implementations
  • Provide guidance, directions and if needed, technical support to product teams, mentoring and sharing technology knowledge with the teams
  • Liaise closely with suppliers and vendors, for example where third-party work or packages involve significant functional, technical, process, data or integration decisions. 
Required profile
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
  • 9+ years of experience HR Technology of which at least 5 years focused on SF Employee Central implementation and sustain
  • Certified at least Associate level for Employee Central module
  • Experience of resolving technical issues, including those involving 3rd parties
  • Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization in English
  • Experience working in a global environment and with virtual teams
  • 5+ years of hands on technical experience in a combination of SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP HCM IT Solutions. Understanding of Employee Central - SAP HCM integration and experience in other SuccessFactors modules are plus
  • Excellent understanding of business complexity and interdependencies
  • Experienced in working in Agile/DevOps environment
  • Ability to quickly comprehend business request, assess the technical requirement and respond accordingly
  • Ability to work on multiple deliverables in parallel
  • Experience in managing end to end lifecycle of an enterprise application – from addressing issues to understanding and fixing root causes 

Nice to have: 

  • Certified at Professional level for Employee Central module  
  • Experience in integrating Employee Central with SAP Payroll with Business Integration Builder (BIB) 
  • Experience and Associate level Certification in other SuccessFactors modules (Onboarding, Recruiting, Compensation, Variable Pay).
