To grow E-Commerce team in Barcelona, we are currently looking for a Front-end Developer.
Main Purpose of Job:
The eCommerce Front-end Developer (Personalization and AB Testing) is responsible for delivering front-end solutions in alignment with technical and branding guidelines, with a special focus on front-end personalization, consistently enforcing those guidelines and supporting other developers in doing so, and, occasionally, leading the implementation of commercially driven and innovative digital experiences.
His/her area of action will also extend to:
• Research and implement new front-end technologies and techniques for enhanced personalization and optimized performance -- and develop user-friendly tools for HQ teams and markets benefiting from those.
• Understand business requirements for front-end content development and utilize web development frameworks, best practices, UX, and UI intuition to deliver high-performing experiences.
• Leading the delivery of digital solutions by external agencies.
• Raising awareness on innovative web technologies in and beyond the Global eCommerce Community (GECO).
• Supporting all Agile ceremonies.
Your responsibilities will be:
CAMPAIGNS / CONTENT
• Develop WCAG-compliant digital experiences that adhere to Nespresso's design system and brand content guidelines.
• Influence campaign design to meet commercial and technical needs and deliver results promptly.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on Nespresso's architectural landscape, procedures, and best practices.
• Ensure quality and alignment of digital solutions delivered by external agencies with Nespresso's technical and brand guidelines.
• Assess relevant technologies to support ecommerce ambitions and provide guidance to the team.
• Balance business needs against technical constraints and provide visibility to the team lead and stakeholders.
INNOVATION
• Co-lead development and evolution of our front-end personalization rules engine (Casper) and report to HQ eCommerce and local stakeholders.
• Support AB testing operations for development and optimization.
• Support product and solution development for experience designers, CRM, communications, legal, and business development.
• Define technical guidelines and assess new technologies, techniques, and best practices.
• Coach the Global eCommerce Community (GECO) on adopting and enforcing technical guidelines, best practices, technologies, and techniques.
Key Experience:
At least 7 years’ experience in eBusiness, eCommerce and / or Digital Agencies.
Strong UX/UI technical background.
Strong front-end code optimization and coding best practices acumen, especially advanced Javascript techniques and capabilities.
Used to mentoring and/or providing guidance to other members of a team.
Used to liaising with external (digital) agencies.
Fluent Mac user (as a software developer).
Skills/Competencies/Attributes:
• Strong HTML5 expertise, including semantic HTML, Web Components, SEO, etc…
• Strong JavaScript expertise: asynchronous programming (AJAX, promises, lazy loading, events, etc…), ES6, node.js, optimization (bundlers, etc…), frameworks and tools (Vue.js, Angular, React, etc…), unit testing, etc…
• Solid understanding of TypeScript, previous experience required.
• Solid CSS3 foundations: properties, behaviours, SASS/SCSS, mixins, etc…
• Comprehensive knowledge of cross-device support and cross-browser issues.
• Deep understanding of front-end personalization techniques and technologies.
• Familiar with responsive web design, atomic design, accessibility principles (WCAG, screen readers, etc…) and design systems.
• Familiar with cross-device support and cross-browser issues.
• Familiar with analytics concepts and best practices (tracking plans, etc…)
• Accuracy, reliability & vigilant attention to detail.
• Team-player. Ability to support other team members.
• Fluent with JIRA, Confluence and BitBucket (Git)
• Fluent in English (Written & Spoken) – it’s the day-to-day language at work.
Other Requirements:
• Proven track record in delivering commercially oriented digital experiences.

o Previous experience with CDNs, preferably Akamai (incl. ImageManager)
o Previous experience with Google Optimize / Google Tag Manager.
o Previous experience with Adobe Target or similar.
o Previous experience with Cypress.
o Previous experience with Jenkins.
o Previews experience with Google Analytics (as a user, reporting / analysis).
o Familiar with Chromatic and/or Storybook.
o Familiar with Browserstack or similar.
