Corporate Communications Manager Finland

Are you a committed communicator with passion for social and climate matters as well as matters related to health and nutrition? Do you want to take your next career step in the world's largest Food and Beverage Company? We at Nestlé Finland are now looking for a Corporate Communications Manager.

At Nestlé, 291,000 colleagues work around the world. Sustainability and "Creating Shared Value" are an integral part of our business and we are proud to be ranked in the top in independent indices such as World Benchmarking Alliance, DJSI, FTSE4Good, ATNI and many more.

We work together to create an increased value for people across our value chain while building our business.

In Finland our Nestlé Head Office is based in Espoo, our Piltti baby food factory in Turku and Puljonki bouillon and soup factory in Juuka. We have had a co-operation with SUL since 2014 in our Nestlé Yleisurheilukerhot program with a focus on healthy and active children.

Sustainability is an integral part of our business. Nestlé has committed to reduce our CO2 emissions by 50% in 2030 and to be CO2 neutral in 2050 in our Net Zero Roadmap.

We Offer

We are now looking for a Corporate Communications Manager for Finland based at our Finnish head office in Espoo Keilaniemi. You will be part of our Corporate Affairs & Consumer Communications Team and report to Nordic Head of Corporate Affairs & Communications. The team has a Consumer & Marketing Excellence group and a Corporate Affairs group (Public Affairs, Corporate Communications, Sustainability), a total of about 20 employees.

You will work in close collaboration with the Finnish Leadership Team, with your Nordic colleagues in Corporate Communications team and across the organization as well as with Marketing Managers for our different brands. Since we are a global company, you also have many contact points at our HQ in Vevey and our Zone Europe Team.

Your responsibilities

Your mission is to increase awareness of Nestlé in Finland and build relations with local stakeholders. We have a high focus on Nestlé’s wide and concrete sustainability commitments and actions – and how consumers, customers and other stakeholders view Nestlé in Finland. You will:

•    Proactively develop and implement an annual Public Affairs and Communications strategy and plan for Finland, in close co-operation with the Corporate Affairs Team and the Country Manager
•    Be an external spokesperson and networker for Nestlé in Finland and build a relationship with relevant customers, NGO’s, journalists, influencers and other stakeholders
•    Actively create content and engage in dialogue in our Corporate Social Media channels in collaboration with our Nordic team
•    Closely work together with the Country Manager and the Finnish leadership team on reputation, internal & external networking and communication
•    Contact and build a relationship with relevant decision makers and other important stakeholders
•    Assist brands and categories internally with advice and hands-on PR support
•    Develop position statements and deal with issues. If needed, lead crisis management in Finland

Your profile

You are a person who wants to make a difference and has a passion for challenges that are linked to health, our society and the climate. You have an established network in Finland within these topics. You are a communicator who wants to engage and collaborate with others. You have very good communications skills in speech as in writing, both in Finnish and English.

You like to work independently and actively take your own initiatives. You have a strong ability to build relationships and can quickly familiarize yourself with new topics and write about complicated content in a way that makes it easy to understand.

Your experiences and qualifications

You have a university degree in communication or other relevant field of study and have worked full time with communication for at least five years. In-depth knowledge of the Finnish media landscape and broad experience of social media is also very important. One advantage is if you also have knowledge of the food industry.
