Position Summary

 

Since the doors opened in 1972, our Atlanta factory has grown dramatically into a state-of-the-art facility. With sustainability and safety at the forefront of our minds, our Atlanta factory proudly and passionately produces 460,000 tons a year of our dry pet food brands, including Alpo®, Beneful®, Cat Chow®, Dog Chow®, Friskies®, Purina ONE®, and Pro Plan®. Our factory does our part for the environment by conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, maintaining zero waste for disposal and more. This plant location is situated along the southern crescent of Metro Atlanta—an area that nearly 6 million residents and many of our associates call home. Atlanta is considered the major commercial and financial center of the Southeast, and together, we contribute to the growth of businesses and population, building the city's strong logistics, entertainment and film, and health services industries.  

 

As the Maintenance Planner, you’ll support the plant maintenance group by developing our preventative and predictive maintenance program utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Work collaboratively with the Operations Planning Manager, Production team, Maintenance team, and Engineering department to coordinate planned maintenance activities to ensure proper asset care and reliability. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for accurately and effectively tracking all maintenance work order KPIs, trending management, and ensuring that all maintenance activities are effectively planned. 

  

  • Execute and improve planning methodology for preventative maintenance program. 
  • Coordinate SAP activities for maintenance functions by creating, maintaining, and modifying work orders as necessary. 
  • Plan work calendar to meet the quality and timeliness expectations of production. 
  • Provide functional leadership for the hourly maintenance team when needed.  
  • Perform field inspections, determine appropriate job work scopes, develop work plans, and stage parts kits. 
  • Identify equipment failure trends and report them to the engineering department for root cause analysis. 

  

Requirements 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 
  • 3+ years’ experience in industrial plant maintenance, maintenance planning systems, or a related field.  
  • 1+ year of leadership experience.  

  

The approximate pay range for this position is $64,000 to $102,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
