Position Summary
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales operations and delivering business objectives within your assigned territory. You will act as a key point of contact for distributors and customers, ensuring excellence in execution, strong market presence, and alignment with Nestlé’s commercial and compliance standards.
A Day in the Life of…
- Develop and execute Field Sales Plans aligned with channel and category priorities
- Manage and develop distributors and customers, ensuring operational excellence (sales in/out, inventory, order management, payments)
- Drive execution of Channel Category Plans at Point of Purchase (POP) to ensure availability, visibility, and growth
- Provide accurate and timely market insights, including demand forecasts, competitor activities, and launch tracking
- Ensure compliance with Nestlé policies, trade terms, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Coach, motivate, and develop Nestlé sales force and distributor teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) methodology
What Will Make You Successful
- 2–3 years of experience in Sales or Marketing, preferably within FMCG.
- Proven track record of delivering sales targets and KPIs
- Strong understanding of field sales operations, distributor management, and customer development
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop teams
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate insights into actions
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills
