Position Summary
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the coordination of all first line management functions regarding production planning, production output and equipment maintenance as well as management of people, quality, safety and sanitation. You will serve as a team leader and problem solver who drives continuous improvement efforts across the plant.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct supervision of hourly employees in the processing or packing department
- Manage the processing or packing schedule to maximize output while minimizing costs
- Lead and coach integrated work groups to achieve results based on the factory’s continuous improvement plan
- Coordinate with engineering and maintenance to facilitate repairs, adjustments and enhancements
- Ensure products are produced in compliance with quality key check points and within good manufacturing practices
- Provide a safe working environment for employees
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, military or related environment
- 1+ year(s) of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, military or related environment
- Must be willing to work a 12-hour overnight shift
