Position Summary:

Resting at 7,000 feet and surrounded by the San Francisco Peaks, the scenic city of Flagstaff remains an important distribution site for large manufacturers like Nestlé Purina. Just a stone's throw from downtown, where the city's culture comes to life, we get to experience the best of both worlds: the city and the mountains. Annually, the Nestlé Purina team in Flagstaff proudly mass manufactures 280,000 tons of dry pet food from our Dog Chow®, Beneful®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Alpo®, and Pro Plan® brands. Our factory is also proud to do our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal.

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you’ll support plant needs by completing building and equipment maintenance. Work in various areas of the facility to complete tasks such as boiler operation, electrical work, and wastewater treatment. Additionally, you’ll work alongside Industrial Maintenance Technicians to support their projects when needed.

• Operate and maintain industrial boilers including monitoring, water treatment, start up, and shut down.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on plant equipment such as air compressors, cooling towers, and more.
• Maintain factory lighting and electrical systems.
• Complete regular wastewater treatment.
• Perform general building maintenance including painting, carpentry, and plumbing.
• Assist Industrial Maintenance Technicians as needed with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial machinery.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment OR a 2-year technical degree completed.

Other

• Must be available to respond to urgent maintenance calls as needed.

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $33.01 - $47.13 per hour. The pay progression follows: Maintenance Technician T1 $33.01, Maintenance Technician T2 $35.83, Maintenance Technician T3 $38.66, Maintenance Technician T4 $41.48, Maintenance Technician T5 $44.31, Maintenance Technician T6 $47.13. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
