Position Summary
As a Factory Quality Technician, you will verify that all pet food is manufactured according to formulation requirements and specifications. You will sample, test and approve ingredients and finished goods to ensure food safety for all products manufactured at the Flagstaff factory. You possess a broad understanding of food safety standards, compliance, sanitation principles and good laboratory practices. In addition, you will have the opportunity to cross-train and gain experience in multiple areas across QA to strengthen your skillset.
- Determine physical and chemical properties of ingredients and finished product as directed by the QA program
- Maintain all product and ingredient standards and records as required
- Isolate and contain all product not meeting package guarantee or regulatory standards
- Communicate laboratory results to production in a timely manner to ensure a quality product
- Prioritize safety, good laboratory and sanitation practices
- Maintain and operate all laboratory equipment including troubleshooting and calibrating
- Work cross-functionally with production, packing, maintenance and safety teams to ensure a continuous flow of quality and efficiency throughout the plant
