POSITION SUMMARY
Resting at 7,000 feet and surrounded by the San Francisco Peaks, the scenic city of Flagstaff remains an important distribution site for large manufacturers like Nestlé Purina. Just a stone's throw from downtown, where the city's culture comes to life, we get to experience the best of both worlds: the city and the mountains. Annually, the Nestlé Purina team in Flagstaff proudly mass manufactures 280,000 tons of dry pet food from our Dog Chow®, Beneful®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Alpo®, and Pro Plan® brands. Our factory is also proud to do our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal
As a Materials Planning Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for managing assigned commodities to ensure 100% availability to meet scheduled production for the factory. The primary areas of focus in this position will be inventory monitoring, ordering/expediting, freight, building internal/external working relationships, and daily/weekly/monthly reports.
- Investigate & reconcile discrepancies within the materials procure to pay and freight payment processes.
- Create, update, and track inbound truck schedule and provide follow-up with carrier compliance issues.
- Contributes to and participates in team effort by engaging in Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) activities to drive results.
- Respond to supplier questions regarding payments, weights or grades.
- Reconcile BNSF miscellaneous accounts and support department demurrage reconciliation and cost reduction initiatives.
- Maintain ingredient freight rate summaries and manage files on rate configurations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1+ year of experience working in material purchasing, inventory management and/or transportation coordination in a manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, military or related environment.
The approximate pay range for this position is $42,000 to $62,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
