POSITION SUMMARY

 

A Process Engineer is responsible for equipment re-design, implementing, controlling and optimizing manufacturing processes & machinery to achieve organizational targets.  This position identifies, prioritizes, and eliminates process losses.  Additional responsibilities include defining equipment standards, leading process benchmarking and reapplication, and building capability within teams to do technical troubleshooting and process improvement.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical mastery of the core production processes, driven by bottleneck/high losses.
  • Analyze loss data to identify and prioritize projects to be executed in factory's continuous improvement plan.
  • Initiate and lead process/equipment improvements that will increase throughput, reduce scrap, improve quality, and eliminate losses.
  • Drive and mobilize resources to conduct problem solving on systems or equipment through failure modes & effects analysis (FMEA) and other Six Sigma methodology.
  • Lead v-curve analysis and balanced line flow studies and identify debottlenecking projects.
  • Understand Nestle Continuous Excellence program and the respective TPM Pillars and tools.  
  • Participate in and support other TPM Pillar activities as needed (AM, PM, Safety, Quality).
  • Participate in design, commissioning, and startup of new equipment/processes, collaborate/Align with OSL, NPE.    
  • Routine of sharing/benchmarking redesign (includes feedback to design – Capital Installation) activities for respective location; Market led routine.
  • Collaborating with technical experts, other functions, and other factories to create and replicate optimal solutions/best practices.  Design new or modify processes for shop floor associates to prevent or eliminate losses.
  • Creating and improving standards that enable sustainability of high preforming production processes.
  • Supporting training programs that develop high performing operators and technicians.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related technical field.
  • 3+ years of project/ process management experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment.

OR

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field.
  • 5+ years of project/ process management experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment.

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $87,000 - $103,000 annually. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
