POSITION SUMMARY

 

Fort Dodge, located just 90 minutes north of Des Moines, Iowa, is recognized as a regional hub for retail and recreation. The city is known for its vibrant community spirit, and we are proud to say that our Fort Dodge Nestlé Purina team shares the same sense of pride and connection. Our dedicated team in Fort Dodge works tirelessly to produce over 130,000 cases of beloved pet food brands daily, including Friskies® and Mighty Dog®. We understand the importance of providing high-quality products that you and your pets love, and we are committed to delivering excellence every day. That’s why we not only make high quality food for pets but our factory is also doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal.    

As a Production Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the coordination of all first line management functions regarding production planning, production output, equipment maintenance, management of people, quality, and safety.   • Oversee supervision of hourly employees in the pet food processing department.
  • Manage and execute weekly production schedules.
  • Coach integrated work groups to achieve results based on the factory’s continuous improvement plan.
  • Ensure products are produced in compliance with key quality check points and within “Good Manufacturing Practices.”
  • Support Total Performance Management (TPM).
  • Lead by example as you enforce a safe working environment for associates.

 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment
  • 1+ years’ supervisory experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $63,000 - $92,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
