Position Summary:
Fort Dodge is considered a regional hub for retail and recreation, located just 90 minutes north of Des Moines, IA. The Sanitation Specialist is responsible for managing and supporting Food Safety programs. You will support the factory Integrated Pest Management Program (IPM) which will include auditing a 3rd Party’s pest activity monitoring. You will provide support and guidance to all departments regarding Food Safety issues. The Sanitation Specialist will support and provide direction to waste removal, grounds keeping, and janitorial contractors. You will perform job duties while supporting factory safety, quality, and environmental work rules.
- Monitor/Audit 3rd Party’s pest monitoring and control systems and devices.
- Support heat treatments, factory fogging, and crack and crevice spot treatments.
- Comply with all pesticide regulatory statues (MSDS’s, documentation logs, label directions, etc.) while following all safety procedures (respiratory protection, PPE, and medical surveillance testing).
- Audit factory compliance to Master Sanitation Plan and generate summary reports, and train/coach operators in cleaning practices including safe chemical use/application.
- Provide guidance and direction to Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse departments regarding sanitation activities.
- Support, audits, coordinates, and reviews cleaning of equipment and work areas.
- Travel requirements to off-site outside storage warehouse, landfill, supplier, and customer sites.
- Review and compile task sheets for data entry from hourly operators.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of experience in quality, food manufacturing, military, or related environment
The approximate pay range for this position is $45,000 - 59,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.Nestlé offers performance-based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k with Company match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.
