Position Snapshot

Rework and inspection of all products on “quality-hold” and/or processing other product quality issues. In alignment with Act 593(B), this position is considered safety sensitive as this employee is responsible for operating, maintaining and monitoring machinery.  In addition, this position operates a PIV

Position Summary

  • Employee must first get paperwork confirming job assignment. Tasks are varied in this position with employee expected to exercise some discretion in determining what product is good for return to warehouse or needs to be destroyed.  Employee must also determine if product must be reworked by cases or by cages.   
  • Employee inspects products that are on “quality-hold” using various inspection methods. This includes setting up to start the process.  Unloading jars from cages or cases onto table, open and emptying product from cases onto table then visually inspect product for problems specified from paperwork received with product.   Job requires close attention to detail. 
  • Must obtain selected pallets to pull samples from Quality.  Must return all good products back to warehouse and identify and isolate bad product for destruction, etc.
  • Employee is responsible for maintaining housekeeping in his / her work area. Work pace is generally above normal and work requires intermittent to moderate physical exertion. 
  • Must ensure that all inspected items are put back into the proper cases or containers. 
  •   See all the above and “other duties as assigned by supervision”
