PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain Aseptic Processing operations by setting up process skids for recipe specific parameters and product flow, monitor processing operations, complete all processing documentation, and troubleshoot process failures or alarms. Rotation of stations commonly occurs; therefore, percentage of Time may vary by activity.
- Maintain and complete all In-Process Quality checks according to the QMS as well as complete all quality documentation and record results in Zontec.
- Maintain Aseptic Filler operations by setting up Filler for recipe specific parameters and product flow as well as monitoring filling operations, completing all processing documentation, and troubleshooting process failures and alarms. Rotation of stations commonly occurs; therefore, percentage of Time may vary by activity.
- Technician must be ever mindful of maintaining housekeeping and sanitation in the area, which would include Aseptic CIP, Aseptic COP and Aseptic SIP, as well as general housekeeping. Employee must be able to turn operation from cleaning to production or production to cleaning. Attention to detail is required. Work requires intermittent to moderate physical exertion as technicians will need to perform frequent valve services during shutdown when required and conduct intermittent preventative maintenance and minor repair. May also be required to lift parts or make piping and equipment changes. Work pace is generally above normal with occasional problems keeping up with the work pace.
- Employee is responsible for ordering and/or returning material for production. Must work in the SAP system, stage, and return materials to location. Requires exercise of ingenuity to solve unusual and difficult problems as employee works to troubleshoot and clear/remedy processing errors. This position requires critical thinking and quick action to protect sterility of the process. Although technicians work in assigned roles based on the function of workflow defined in the processing operations, may also be called upon to direct or coordinate the work of other technicians.
Employee must support and comply with all Nestlé programs and policies, including, affirmative action goals and commitments, SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) strategies, corporate citizenship initiatives, ME (Manufacturing Excellence), TPM (Total Performance Management), GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Safety Policies to ensure employee safety and product quality. Employee must meet all requirements related to NMS (Nestle Management System) and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards for Quality, Food Safety, Environmental Compliance and Occupational Health and Safety.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Minimum 6 months relevant work experience
Preferred: 3 years’ experience in food manufacturing or other manufacturing setting
OJT and classroom study recommended to properly educate operators on Aseptic processes as well as advanced Filler and troubleshooting skills. Prior experience in food processing is preferred.
Pay: $27.62 per hour
Bonus Eligibility: Yes
The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
