Position Summary
Support manufacturing operations with technical innovation and leadership to improve / modify new and existing systems in the facility through the implementation of capital projects.
In alignment with Act 593(B), this position is considered safety sensitive as this employee ensures that the process equipment, material of construction, and installation conform to USDA, FDA, state and local regulatory standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage assigned projects from conception through installation. Supports the identification and planning of manufacturing process, utility, and facility improvements. Perform analysis (financial/operational) to indicate the feasibility of projects and process change. Research and submit Capital Project requests, selects equipment, conducts contractor pre-qualifications, award bids, budgets and coordinates work with suppliers and contractors to assure completion time and within budget. Ensure that the process equipment, material of construction and installation conform to USDA, FDA, State and Local regulatory standards and are of the sound design appropriate with existing technology.
- Provide technical support to Factory operations. Develop and lead project teams to improve process safety, quality, performance and reliability. Manage data collection and feedback process for projects.
- All employees will support and participate in Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total Performance Management (TPM) as a part of their job responsibility within their Business Unit or as assigned within the factory.
- Employee shall follow safety & environmental objectives & targets, follow the safety rules, report unsafe conditions immediately, report incidents immediately or by the end of the shift, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs
FINANCIAL/STRATEGIC IMPACT:
- Plant KPI’s of Safety, Quality, Manufacturing, Customer Service and Cost.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
- Three + years of experience in related manufacturing environment. Experience implementing and supporting manufacturing methods driving continuous improvement.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field, or 3 years work experience in the field
- Employee must support and comply with all Nestlé programs and policies, including, affirmative action goals and commitments, SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) strategies, corporate citizenship initiatives, NCE (Nestle Continuous Excellence), TPM (Total Performance Management), GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Safety Policies to ensure employee safety and product quality. - Ability to work off-hours and weekends/holidays as needed.
