Position Summary

Primary functions of this role are to lead the department towards the achievement of its goals by providing technical assistance in all aspects of engineering compliance completions, document review, inventory analysis, workforce utilization and guidance as well as involvement with maintenance, productivity/ quality projects, and acting as a training liaison.  Employee will participate in problem solving activities such as Breakdown Analysis (BDAs), and Go-See-Think-DOs (GSTD) along with Total Performance Management (TPM). Fast pace work environment requires high attention to detail, effective communication, and organizational skills.

In alignment with Act 593(B), this position is considered safety sensitive as this employee responsible for maintaining equipment by assisting with equipment breakdowns, obtaining parts, and providing technical assistance.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Requires the ability to work independently towards general results as employee must originate, plan, and adapt to accomplish tasks such as working with all compliance related issues, ensuring on-time completions of audit action items, and handling day-to-day functions not requiring management level involvement.  Employee must assign PM’s and WOs for any task needed to complete any audit action items or calibrations of hazardous gasses. Employee also responsible for communicating process / operational required training to department personnel both verbally and through documented materials.    
  • Keep all PSM /ASA daily records (oil logs, daily employee logs ETC…) up to date.   
  • Employee also responsible for ensuring accurate data in SAP, ensuring that all paperwork is complete and accurate, including all appropriate signatures in accordance with employee job description, audits, SOPs. ETC… Must enter notifications, and work orders as required and complete Risk Predictions, Product Protection Plans, and Permits to work as necessary.
  • Monitor and update all PSM, ASA, PHA, RMP, EFCA, all compliance audits to ensure that we are compliant with findings, scheduled and on time completed actions, updating the reports on a regular and on time basis.
  • Keep audit files up to date with the latest activities, tunings, water & air quality testing.
  • Keep a list of all equipment calibration and required internal and Xray inspections for all Utilities equipment.   
  • Participate in all audits to furnish records of compliance. 
  • Participate in all water and energy teams and tasks (water savings, project thunder, energy saving projects and Idea development, ETC…). 
  • Track and Monitor all hazardous gasses to ensure all sensors and alarms are always in proper working order. 

 

Requirements

Education

 

  • In addition to high school diploma or GED, associate needs specialized training such as apprenticeship in a trade or technical course, at least two of the following (boiler license, Ciro refrigeration certificate and 2 year WWTP licenses , previous compliance experience )  

  • Additional further training will also be required

  • Employee must support and comply with all Nestlé programs and policies, including, affirmative action goals and commitments, SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) strategies, corporate citizenship initiatives, NCE (Nestle Continuous Excellence), TPM (Total Performance Management), GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Safety Policies to ensure employee safety and product quality.  Employee must meet all requirements related to NQMS (Nestle Quality Management System) and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards for Quality, Food Safety, Environmental Compliance and Occupational Health and Safety. 

 

Experience

  • Requires at least 3 years’ experience in operating Ammonia equipment.

  • Previous experience in PSM, ASA compliance

  • Have a CIRO certification for refrigeration or be able to acquire it with-in 24 months of receiving the job in Utilities.

  • Have or be able to pass the Arkansas boiler license with-in the 3rd year.

  • Have or be able to pass the basic wwtp license with-in the 4th year.

  • The Lead needs to have understanding of the operations of refrigeration, boiler operations, waste water operations and related computer systems that are critical to the success of the position
